My mum did exactly the same flight from heathrow, probably around 1958, the cost, ten shillings and six pence, I have a photograph of her boarding the aircraft at the viewing compound area, pre queens building
Would love to have another flight in one of planes again. Used them fairly regularly back in the 1950s from Renfrew to the Isle of Barra, one I remember was G-AHKS and KZB, B E A flights etc. We landed on the beach when the tide was out, all good fun for a youngster !
I flew on “nettie” around 3 weeks ago, it was an amazing experience
