"I feel at home in the South" There's a reason, especially in Tennessee and Kentucky, that lots of the Irish and Scottish immigrants stayed there. With the exception of the blazing hot summers, it's quite similar to that area
I'm so happy to see this series as an American who was born and raised in southern Indiana, and spent his 20s and 30s living in different towns in TN and KY. I know everyone wants to go to the west coast or whatever, but for my money, you absolutely can not beat the Midwest. Thanks for making this!
Nice video dude have you ever thought about coming to New Zealand we have some amazing scenery and roads over here Henry Cole said it was motorcycle heaven 😊
mate I absolutely love this series pal onwards and upwards. I did pmsl when you left your bag behind. bet you were glad I wasn't there with the clan spanner. 🤣
Great to see some of these areas that we rarely do. The roads certainly look like perfect biking roads and the scenery is fantastic. Looking forward to the rest of your trip 👍
Nice one Bruce. Good to see this series back. I had that dreadful sinking feeling with a little metallic tank bag that I didn’t put back after filling up with petrol. I had left it on the tail bag. Not such a happy ending though. Never to be seen again 😞
Welcome to my playground. I've been living and riding in and around Nashville for 20 years. Some fantastic roads here. And I'm glad you hit 85. That's one of the hidden gems in the area. And LBL is filled with fantastic dual sport trails.
Really enjoyed this series, lovely roads and scenery, inspires me to try and do some more riding in The States, I did a little bit in California years ago while on a work trip to Paloi Alto , did a bit of the PCH on a big Harley Road King but now retired I fancy doing Route 66.
Think this is my fav video of tours ever. Love the tour vids, especially this one as you're doing it just for you, I can tell you're really having a blast.
I do love watching your solo adventures 🙂 I have never been to the USA, have looked at it from Canada once, but never been in, even with my time in the RN. Lovely to see the Nicky Hayden memorial
With all the negative media about America its fantastic to see your vids showing the amazing scenery and roads. If I can ever afford to do a bike trip I won't hesitate! As for your cameras, I've switched from gopro to DJI and apart from needing the mic 2 it is infinitely better. I can get 2hrs easily filming 4k 50fps and it doesn't have the warped edges. Looking forward to your next vid
Thanks bud, 100% go to the States if you can - the media is full of utter bollocks whatever it is ‘reporting’ about, see for yourself then make your mind up 👍 Re the DJi, 2hrs battery life, really?! I only got about 1hr 5/1hr 10 mins on mine filming at 4k@60fps? The insta Ace Pro’s give me slightly longer. I’ve not tried the wireless mic option yet, but I need to be able to record the group chat and I can’t incorporate that with the Mic 2, I’d need to use an external sound recorder
I get the same at 60fps, it seems the lower you go the better the battery but I don't like going lower than 50fps. To be fair conditions have to be perfect for 2hrs. Managed 2 hrs on a Wales trip, usually around 1hr 50 at 50fps. When I've had it a while no doubt battery length will drop off
I’m throughly enjoying this series. I’ve lived in Florida since 1973, you’re riding a number of my favorite “vacation destination” roads that I’ve enjoyed over the last 50 years of motorcycling 🏍️😃👍!
Loved the video. Really enjoyed our ride that day. Not to be blowing smoke but the the ride was one of the highlights of my riding career. If you find yourself in this area again you have an open invitation to stop by and have a brew or two or three . Cheers!😀
Mark it was my pleasure to join you for the day’s ride, and thanks again for showing me more of Tennessee. I’ll 100% give you a shout when I’m next back over that way bud👍
Great series, so glad its back 😁🎉 looks an amazing place to tour. I had no idea these places were like this until I watched "got2go" on her coast to coast. She traveled through Tennessee and the whole area looks amazing. Only thing I would say is i wish you hadn't done it so early in the year. All the trees are still in hibernation and the place looks lacking in colour. Can you imagine this trip in autumn 😱🤩. I know its probably the only time you had available but just thought id mention it 👍. Still much better than the TMF tour of Alaska though 🤣👏 sorry Andy 🤷🙊
I live in N E Ohio and watch many videos from the U. K. The old buildings and narrow roads are beautiful. Never thought about the short distance N to S your country is. I now will appreciate the vastness of the U. S. The grass always looks greener on the other side. Got to go now- the bike is waiting.!! LOL. 👍👍
I’m really liking the videos, hope you can do more of this kind of stuff. Maybe once a year travel to another country and borrow a different bike. Nice to see you off that tractor 🤣
There are some really good roads in the Nashville metro area. Specifically in Williamson County. Also, Center Hill damn is located less than 100 miles from the city center and is one of the two spots where everyone rides to on the weekends. On sunny pleasant weekend days you can roll up to the big parking lot they have overlooking the damn and find a couple dozen bikes parked at any one time. If you go through Woodbury It's an excellent ride, with lots of twisty roads that are well maintained. The other spot is the Natchez trace, which is actually one long Federal park road that extends from Nashville to Natchez Mississippi. It's a beautiful ride with sweeping curves and no houses or businesses, but the speed limit is kind of low and it's patrolled by the National Park Rangers, who aren't shy about handing out tickets. The sport bike guys mostly avoid it, which can be nice. Just make sure you don't speed too much.
Great series many thanks. There is something about solo bike tours that really refresh the soul don't get me wrong I like company, but I love solitude I dig it it good for you where as loneliness is bad for you however your never alone on a bike tour.
I did the exact same thing and forgot my backpack in a parking spot around central London, I had the same mini heart attack once I realised lol thankfully it was still there!
I’m pretty much centered between Nashville and Knoxville. Nashville has blew up in the last few years it used to be more laid back. If you’re ever back in middle TN there is some cool roads around Center Hill,Dale Hollow and Cordell Hull lakes
I put my camera bag down on a stop off in moffat a few weeks ago and rode off.when it started raining..with 6 grands worth of camera/ lens in the bag, i realised 10 mile away and went back...bag was gone and not handed in anywhere...i felt sick at my stupidity a guardian angel contacted me a few days later on Facebook, hed gotten the exif data from one of my pics and it had my name in, i was so so lucky i got it back...some people are amazing ❤
Mate I’m really enjoying this series… the roads have been a real surprise, especially when you wrongly presume that everything is just long wide straights… and as for the rucksack… bloody hell!!!!! 😱🤣🤣🤣
Hey Bruce absolutely loved this series I know you have to do reviews and you do them great and in your style but sometimes we just want to go for a ride with our mate Bruce....hmmm! That sounds dodgy...you know what I mean 😂 anyway keep them coming mate, love the series 😊
You have to watch those vultures really close. They aren't the brightest creatures. I almost got hit by one yesterday. Love this series. I like hearing your perspective on the roads I ride.
You really need 3 weeks out there otherwise you miss so much. Hit me up in 2026 Bruce I'm doing a bit of jaunt for my 60th. The cemeteries at LBL are mainly normal ones, before they built the dam and the state park people lived there, the Army Corps of Engineers moved all the homes from the park when they built the dam. You can still walk through the woods.and come across people's front steps to their houses. There are some great.offroad tracks there and the Lodge at Lake Barkley is a personal favourite place to stop.
What’s the make of bike marks riding. It’s really impressive that it’s covered 250,000 miles. I like the insta footage. The mountain roads do look like good fun. Calimoto looks like it’s coming on. It will be amazing whit gets live traffic.
Its a 1998 Honda Valkyrie. It has a flat opposing 6 cylinders 1500cc engine that is based off the Honda Goldwing engine. The main differences are the Valkyrie engine has 6 carbs and solid stem valve lifters and is cammed different to add more power. Its my favorite motorcycle.
Enjoying this series. There are great roads to ride in western NC/eastern TN/northern GA - just got back from those areas myself. I would love to ride through the small villages in the UK. Check out Freeman motorcycle maps for your next trip over. They have color coded ride loops on great roads, places to eat and stay, and they are FREE. You can order them online and just pay for shipping, or you can find them in those sightseeing literature stands found at hotels etc. Now I feel a strong need to go out and ride my GSA…
Hi Bruce. Spot on series, I totally sing the praises of the tiger 900 and sometimes don't sound 100% convinced with your 1300gs. Any regrets buying the new GS?
Morning bud, thanks for that, glad you’re enjoying the series. The 1300 just isn’t doing it for me sadly. It’s fast, insanely quick, but the engine is soulless and rattles like hell. I’ve tried a slip on and it makes hardly any difference due to the ridiculous euro 6 compliance bollocks down in the can and headers. I have a decat header which I’ll be putting on in a few weeks, so I’m hoping that releases a bit of character in the engine note. We’ll see
The Land Between The Lakes is a National Recreation Area (whatever that is) in the middle of the the damned Cumberland and Tennessee Rivers, each of which creates a man made lake. The two rivers come together at the head of the peninsula at the two respective damns, which are right next to each other. Then they make a short trip to the Ohio River, and again another short trip to the Mississippi. The two Rivers don't technically flow into each other, having their own historic channels to the Ohio, but we've altered the geography to allow the two to intermingle right before the damns.
On the camera picture and sound comment. It may be just me, but I genuinely never can really tell the difference when it comes to action cams. The quality is fine and the audio is good… for me your camera and audio choice should be based purely upon how convenient it is for you to operate.
I’m not sure what you mean here Lisa? It could possibly be the ‘Storm Flap’ from my Rukka suit maybe? Glad to hear you’re enjoying the vids, thank you 👍

Nicky Hayden. A champion rider and a top bloke. For me, that was the highlight of your vlog. Thanks.
Road trip of a life time, brilliant and thanks.
