XYZ may have different chemical structure from H2O, but have the same macro properties as H20 has. Maybe it's doubful in terms of chemistry laws and intuitions, but within this particular mind experiment we can state that this may be possible

God, I absolutely despise Natural Kinds Essentialism. Grew up in a Thomistic household so I pretty much grew up having to challenge different forms of essentialism from day one.

How can XYZ have the same properties as water and yet we discover it's something else... Then there is some aspect of it that acts differently
