I don't understand how some people are saying that Joe is the problem. That he is the common denomitor in all the bad contracts that Joe has signed.
Rap career, a lot of artist signed bad contracts. Shady, his project was in the back burner & they were never a priority. Complex, they wanted Joe to sell his soul for sponsors. Spotify, they were literally the #1 podcast & got treated like shit instead of being treated like royalty.
To Joe's defense, he was the first to sign the contracts that I mentioned above. Rap career, he was in the first wave of artists that got bad deals. Complex, first wave of people to give show ideas to an online network. Spotify, first wave of people to sign pod deals. Joe has mentioned it several times that he is learning as he goes. He doesn't want to make the same mistake he made with his label contract & wants to open doors for the next generation.
I've always loved Joe's honesty & transparency. This is one of my favorite episodes.

I stumbled upon joes podcasts just a couple weeks ago because he did in interview with Lupe about the track “Dinosaurs” and ever since then I been hooked the podcasts and just been listening too all the other ones just because it’s so fucken good and entertaining. The chemistry with all of them is just so natural and genuine and it’s almost like you’re there with them. I’m sure as fuck gonna follow wherever he starts doing the pod now

I’ve tried to listen to other podcasts and it just aint the same. The difference with the JBP is that it doesn’t feel like a podcast. Spotify is making a mistake here.

Currently deployed and it’s coming to a end, this podcast has given me something to look forward to on Mondays and Fridays. Been a fan/viewer before the Spotify deal hope this doesn’t stop them from pushing episodes. I have Spotify but still wait to visually watch on RUclips so I could careless if they continue a deal but I understand the hustle behind it. Joe knows his worth and you have to respect it 🤷🏾♂️.

I’ve been a listener to the pod for years. I listened back when Mari the body was still on there. I even remember Mal getting introduced and not knowing if he would grow on me like Rory and Parks did. Years later, I can say, they have a great dynamic and I’m proud of all the success they had.
