USA VS Europe: Surfing Competition on 60ft Wave

Blair Conklin enters his first ever River Surfing competition and competes for team USA. The Continental Surf Cup was held in Lake Chelan at LakeSide Surf. The competitors each competed in three different categories: Freestyle, Best Trick, and Turns. The teams final score in each of these categories was added up and totaled to determine final team scores. Stay tuned for the next video from the contest which will focus solely on the best trick event.

fin less stubby is more difficult in a flow wave in my opinion, however you can't have a "discipline interloper" show up, throw a few different boards out and crash into first. the leaders were more polished and acceptable to the judges, wondering what they were arguing about? I should have been paying attention and went to this contest date i'm on the Washington coast and could have made this easily, if your in an RV driving south don't forget to stop at Ferdinand's ice cream for 5 gallons of apple crisp and a few cans of cougar gold at Pullman. and if down the coast east of port angles surf spots. solduc hot spring, hoh river , ocean shores, west port fingers...

Way to kill it even with that leash impacting your moves. Your last wave definitely should have been scored higher based on what others were doing and the scale previously. Not sure why the lack of love for the skim, since it is way harder to control with no fins and that damn leash.

Maybe you should buy a super duper short leash. So it won't drag in the water at all. I've done this kind of wave on a cruise before, they're pretty fun but they shouldn't need leashes, honestly it seems more dangerous to have one in a sense
