The advertisement stated it works for Mini Cooper yet I am having a hard time getting it to work or read my check engine light that is obviously on. Do you think i just need to update it ???
Thanks for yet another great video. I just wanted to get your view on the difference that one would expect when comparing this scanner with one of those chip Bluetooth scanners coupled with the Torque-Pro diagnostic app?
Well, those bluetooth ones work great as well, but I have had issues with connections and it is also no available on the iPhone. I have a couple of those scanners and honestly never use it. This thing I like because it will always work, no matter if you have internet, charged phone etc. which is important in case something happens when you are out and about. Thanks for watching!
I haven’t tested it, the information says that it should work on all ‘standard’ OBD2 compliant vehicles from 1996, but it also says 2006 or 2008 for ‘extensive’ coverage. I assume everything will work on 1996+, but the live data and more advanced features on 2006+ for Japanese cars.
@@SimpleCarGuy Great, thanks. I really should get one and this one seems like the best available option for the price range; hope all these models will be at least the same quality as yours. Cheers.
A bout the manual..... I Mean you are doing the review you are supposed to summarize what it says. An most important compare the palette of menus compared to categories. Say What is it lacking of compared with pricy ones...... As for people to do a faster easier pick. This video is poor. ( What can you say bad if they sponsor you?).
Love it, I have bought one, but has not used it yet, thanks for reviewing !! Good job 👍
Thxs good vido bought one and your video is a big aid

Nice pocket OBD2 code reader,I have got one with the discount
Definitely nice to have in the car just in case you ever need it. Hope you find it useful!
@@SimpleCarGuy Thank you
Can it do battery monitor reset for Ford Cmax Energi 2013 model ? I don't see reset battery option in any of your screens ?
No, this one will not be able to reset the battery monitor for you.
I live in Europe, and i bought one. Everything is in English, but when i connect the od1 scan, it is in German. And its saying no TF card.
Hallo friend had you try it on different types of cars European Asian American, iam looking to buy a one but i need it for different types of cars
Yes, this one works on pretty much any car that has OBD2 and is 1996+ in the states. I don’t know if the standard is different in Europe.
Mine keep saying file load error and it's new never used before how can I get it to work
I'd ask for a replacement. It should just work out of the box .
Can one verify the total mileage of the vehicle ??
Will this scanner read ABS, TCS codes??
Only general codes reported by stabdard OBD2 protocol.
Wait, what do you mean Asian cars newer than 2008? So it won't work with my Toyota Camry '99 and Sienna '06?

If you car come with Standard OBD2 port 16 Pin,it should be support.
Your battery is at 12.2 volts .You better take a drive or hook up a charger /maintainer Sulfation is starting. Just a suggestion. 👍
That’s only because I had the ignition on for 10-15 minutes straight. The battery is good!
Is this thing still working for ya? that's the most relevant info I'd suppose.
I still have it and it works, but I have moved on to much more advanced diagnostics tools for my needs.
