As a teacher, I really appreciated this one. Sometimes I'm not sure if I can pull off your looks, though, because I have a very different body type (with a belly). I wonder if one day you could try a look book series that focuses on a different body type in each episode. Just a thought. I still love to watch your videos and the enthusiasm you always share. You really work hard and it shows.
Fellow teacher here-- and yeah, I've tried wearing heels to work once or twice and DIED, lol. Too much time on my feet! But I'd wear any of the pants looks she shows here with flats or flat ankle boots; I think cropped pants especially look cute that way. With skirts I usually go for shorter hem lengths (just above knee) with leggings; the longer length skirts tend to look disproportionate with flatter shoes, plus I like leggings under my skirts at school anyway for more modesty/coverage.
I feel the same way! When I'm teaching, I'm everywhere in the classroom and heels need to be thick boots or it's just not a realistic option. I do want to add some of those bright blazers though!!!
Have you ever tried a pointed toe flat or a super low wedge? Heels will often still make an outfit look “better” but a pointed toe flat can still give it a similar silhouette with a flat shoe. A low wedge (1” ish, I mean) can still give it the lifted look of a heel, but I know cute options are few and far in between. But I snap them up if I see them.
I work on my feet too and pointed toe shoes with 1-2" height are my best friends. I wear slingbacks in spring/summer and sock booties in fall/winter. If you want the elongating effect then wear a nude color shoe that's similar to your skin tone, and black for when you're wearing black tights. I'm a petite girl with short legs and this trick makes my legs look so long and I feel so elegant and put together. Honestly, it's not about the height of the heels, those pointed toes will transform your outfit even if they're flats
Lovely teacher outfits! Many can be adapted for those who work with very young children and do not wear high heels or knee-length skirts very often...wear some pointy flats, change the skirt for pants, or throw on some tights...voila! Playground-to-conference style! Thank you Miss Louie!
I loved this! I need work outfit ideas for my job. I have to look professional but travel lots. I get in and out of my car a minimum of 12 times. Sunburn, weather elements, driving with shoes, even hair styles are all hard to manage when you drive and have literal steps to get yourself ready for professional meetings!
I’ve been a fan of yours for years. I still adore every single video. I’m a real estate agent so this material is perfectly aligned with my style and great for the office/client appointments. Thanks for being you! Love you!!!!
Girl thank youuu! I work as a teacher and looking cute while being comfortable is a challenge so I usually settle for being comfortable without caring how cute the ootd is
I used your links to buy the burgundy floral blazer, the polka dot dress (Modcloth) and the high-waisted plaid pants (Express). I hope you get a kickback from our purchases because you deserve compensation for all your beautiful work!
Wow!!!!!! Been looking for something like this. I mean as a teacher, I always try to dress as modest as possible, but I still want to be fashionist. Thanks
AMAZING ♥️ You always amaze me with the quality of your work and the huge amount of effort you put into giving us all the info and links! What an outstanding work ethic, thank you very much
Ahh! That dog printed skirt is a must have! I work at a makerspace and I was wondering if you could make a video on outfits surrounding flats/sneakers? As much as heels would amp up my style (and give me the height my 5' self needs), I can't seem to come up with a snazzy way of dressing up flats/sneakers without looking frumpy.
You look good in anything! You can wear a sack of potatoes and you would still look really cute and put together 💕. I just love your taste in fashion. You always inspire me. Although i don’t have the budget to the items you show, at least it gives me an idea and I look for it in a cheaper version.
This is great! Thanks for looking out for us teachers. I’m always trying to find ways to tone down my weekend wardrobe to fit into my weekday routine. You’re awesome!
I'm a teacher (newly hired one cause I just graduated and lucky enough to get in fast)and I'm 5'2. So great to stumbled into one of your vids! Gosh I finally found my match. More power to you! 😍😊💜
I know you don’t really do videos about that but can you please do a video about your hair. I love love love your hair color and styling in general and i would ove to see how you get hair like that. Love all your videos.
Hi Erica!! I'm a nutritionist working at a gym, I have to dress professional but casual. To blend in I have to wear sneakers. Can you do a video on it? I know I'm not the only woman who wants to dress professional and lady like but at the same time needs to be confortable and presentable. Love your videos
Can you do a video on how to have a little personality or just something fun in your outfits if the dresscode is very strict, business wear? I would love that!
Hi Louie! First of all I am falling in love with your style: it is smart, minimal and mainly sober 😍 I am from Italy and I would to have your skinny jeans at 3.10 The only problem is that shopping store can not sell to Europe 😥. Can you say me where else can I find that jeans, please? I really thank you 😘
I would love to see a video on how to work around uniforms! At my job, we are required to wear a black polo, pants that totally cover the leg with no cuts and sneakers. I have a really feminine style and always being in jeans is driving me crazy!! What could I do to look more feminine in a polo, pants and a sneakers?
Alex, the uniform itself sounds like it doesn't leave enough room for much femininity...perhaps you can you add a more womanly vibe by adding a bit of small but sparkly jewelry? I think a pair of dangling earrings (not too large) and something like a charms bracelet OR a set of stacked rings OR a short necklace with a pendant that catches the light would not be too "out of uniform" but still inject a dose of fun and girliness. (Just don't wear all of those pieces together. The idea is to look feminine, not like a child who's raided her mom's jewelry box.) You could also play with your hairstyle--a high ponytail or cute braids read "girl" to me. Discreetly manicured nails, glossy lips, sheer foundation, and rosy cheeks speak of youth...and don't forget your fragrance! A scent that wears close to the skin and is fresh and floral (rather than woodsy and spicy) communicates a softness and tenderness that we relate with very traditional ideas of femininity. If none of these things work, wear super girly lingerie under your uniform. No one else will know, but you will, and it will make you smile through your work day!
Hi. Hope u read this comment. I adore ur videos. Could u please do a video on how to midi length dresses n skirts keeping petite girls in mind. Would love the inclusion of formal wear. Thanks a lot.
omg i love this!!!! i'm an aspiring elementary teacher so this is great!! but i think i'm gonna swap the heels for flats hehe way too much time on my feet

This is a great variation on the work wardrobe concept. I work in a casual office but still want to look professional, so this is perfect for me.
I’m an elementary school teacher, so I absolutely loved this and all the looks! Thanks for always putting out great style inspo videos, Erica!💕
Thanks for the teacher shoutout. Can you recommend outfits without heels? I never wear heels to school and that’s where I always get stuck

I love Mary Janes and have found a pair with a gradual heal! I have 2 types of clothes , one for the kitchen and one for the meetings/classes/office.
Lovely teacher outfits! Many can be adapted for those who work with very young children and do not wear high heels or knee-length skirts very often...wear some pointy flats, change the skirt for pants, or throw on some tights...voila! Playground-to-conference style! Thank you Miss Louie!
I’m in love with these looks! I’m not a teacher but these can translate to a lot of casual businesses. Thanks for sharing! 💕

I can't even express how much I enjoy your videos. Can you do a bag/purse essential video? And how they work with different outfits and styles
This made my teacher heart so happy.
Thank you, thank you. As a teacher, I appreciate your ideas.
Girl thank youuu! I work as a teacher and looking cute while being comfortable is a challenge so I usually settle for being comfortable without caring how cute the ootd is
I just got a job as a tutor so this is very helpful because I don’t have many business casual outfits and need to add them to my wardrobe
Thanks
