How to Fix Black Screen of Death on iPhone 14 Pro?

- Few days ago I heard about the iPhone 14 pro black screen of death. I thought it was a joke until it happened to my phone this morning. So my iPhone 14 pro was fully charged, but screen has just gone black and nothing works. So the iPhone 14 pro currently has a firmware bug which can cause black screens making your iPhone unusable until your force a restart. Apple is no doubt working on a fix and a new FW update should be available soon.
Hope this video helps some of you out there, so dont panic, its an easy fix and apple will resolve it soon, as they usually do.
I am using this iPhone everyday, absolutely loving it so far, full review coming soon.

It’s 4 am and I just so happened to go to the bathroom and come to find my phone not turning on. You’ve saved my sanity and time from trying to go to the Apple Store. Thank you so much for this video. I didn't even know this was a thing. I was trying to force mine to restart by holding the Volume Up + Power button and it didn't work. I tried this and after about 3-4 attempts it worked. I feel so much better knowing this is a known issue and having a way to fix it. You saved me a lot of anxiety and a trip to the Apple store.

Had this happen to me this morning on iOS 16.4. Really glad I ran into your video. Worked like a charm! It felt like I had to hold that lock button for nearly 20 seconds though... glad I was patient.
All the webpages and videos I found made it seem as if you only had to hold your phone for a couple seconds. this was the only guy who told it like it is and said it might take about 40 seconds. if it wasn’t for that single fact I probably wouldn’t have been able to turn my iPhone back on. This guy saved my sanity

I am on the latest 16.02 firmware and black screen issue has not been resolved. It just happened again to mine. Fortunately the fix in the video works fine. Hopefully Apple will do something about this.

Just happened to me again today…
This happened the 4th time for me!! But this morning I had a committed appointment! So I missed that appointment as the phone literally “dead”!! Long story short, went to Apple Store and was there for 1,5 hours!! And Apple guy “pitched” the software and he told me that I was 18th person who had same issue!! Apparently every single day, people would come to the store with this issue! Imagine if you had a flight to catch up early morning!?? I would have missed it for sure as the alarm didn’t go off!! Damn APPLE!! 🤧🤮 😷💩💩💩

It happened to me today. So panic and felt sad when this happened. But after follow the steps given on apple support website, it seem back to normal. I managed to restart back my iphone 14 pro as usual. Hope apple will take this as serious issue and quickly released and updated to solve this.

So I had to turn on my ancient linux computer since my work computer is at work, and I was half panicking the whole time since I use my phone for everything. happened to my 13 pro today while at highschool walking back inside from the track and football feild. I have warranty, but theres legit no damage and i didnt drop it until my 6th period told me about the screen of death and i have IOS 16 for 5 days now. Right now I do not have a iphone, but I might have to get another 13 pro because i do have that warranty but im glad i wasnt the only one, i had my 13 pro for 5 months almost 6. So i will have my replacement until 2023 to trad-in but I noticed it was a pro problem. IOS 16 issue? Because leading up to this point nothing was wrong.

@@xCapnKrisKrisx all you have to do is rapidly turn the first top volume and then press the bottom volume and then hold the power button until it turns on it’s a hard reset but you have to put it in a rapid motion
