I’m in the process now of breaking mine in to, I have 4 hours on it hoping to get the last hour on it this weekend, so I’ll be all set to back feed when the time comes, Never going another 4 days without heat ever again.
We'll done and thanks for sharing this.. I just bought one of these generators and waiting for it to be delivered.. An excellent video.. Have a good day...
How has yours held up? Ive had mine a year, 10 hours on it and the electroc start turn switch thing has stopped working. Battery is perfect. Screen come on after pulled start. But that turn ez start....nothing. no screem or anything unless its running. Very frustrated
@@BWALK551 supposedly. I have been emailing them and tried calling but wait was over an hour. Love the machine and can pull start it no problem. But I didn't buy the ez start version just to pull start it. The problem I'm having is there is no serial number plate anywhere. Supposed to have one on top but it doesn't. Send them proof of purchase and everything but no luck with out the sticker. Bummer
This one at HD is $899. the other inverter one w/o wheels is $654, $269 cheaper. they are both Champion 4500-Watt Dual Fuel Inverter Generators. Do you know if the cheaper one w/o wheels is as quiet? and are they basically the same?
Great question, I don’t know if it is quieter. I would look at the specifications for noise and try to compare the decibel meter reading couldn’t imagine having one though without wheels. It would be pretty hard to move around.
@@CTECH-REVIEW Good points, I will look at the specs and I think I have a dolly I could put it on. But I'm still undecided on which one to get. Probably the one in stock is the one I'll get. LOL
How much life do you get out of a generator? Im planning on buying one in the next few days to use for camping trips and will put 200-300 hours on it a year.
Non ethanol is the real way to go. After break in, I use AMSOIL DIESEL because of it's higher zinc content ( ppm) for air cooled engines. Just sayin'....
Great vid, valuable info from a seasoned vet. Thank you
Glad it was helpful! I appreciate the comment! Good day!
Just about to start my break in…nice to see a knowledgeable tutorial

Thanks for watching!
Until your generator breaks down
Good pointers - Thanks

Thank you for watching, and Im glad it helped. That is what this channel is all about. Have a great day!
Out of a dozen different channels showing champions, you're the only one who knows about 50% max load and 5 hour break in parameters
Thank you for watching! I believe and have read that it’s important to not go hard on the generator during break in to set the rings on the pistons
I usually put the oil funnel into the empty oil bottle and let any residual oil drain into the bottle.
I’m more impressed you were able to find a 10 mm socket.
😂
Get a set of 3/8 inch drive metric sockets. Will use more than you think
Please show photo of the 10mm. I'm feeling nostalgic 😂
Hi, thanks for the video. Please, do you have a video where you extract the gasoline from the generator for storage? Thank you
Thanks for watching. I do not but you can buy the electric pumps from Costco for pretty cheap to suck fuel out of tank
Good vid. So what oil was used first, did it come with a bottle?
Thank you for watching. Yes it came with some oil. I just used it for the break in.
Should have used a non synthetic oil to break in, then put synthetic oil in after break in so the rings can seat just saying.
That is a good option too!

Mine is good to go. What a bummer. I hope you get it going it
they have a 3 year warranty and supposedly good customer service. call them.

245 cheaper, not 269.
What is that E-Bike, looks like it has a good size motor.... Good video on the genny....
Thanks for watching! Its a little kid one, I am not sure the model!
Is there much difference between this 4500 and the newer 4650?
About 150! Haha I don’t know, great question. I am not familiar with that model. Champion makes decent stuff though.
How many hrs you have on this now?
Under 50.
Get a magnetic dipstick too.
Been searching for one for mine can’t find

If you take care of one that’s nothing. Our last predator 3500 has around 1600 hours on it in 2 years and still runs great
Beltrain?
I don’t understand, I apologize
well. your generator tag calls for 10W-30 not the 5w-30 you replaced it with. O.o
Changed out since then! 5w is a little better in cold weather, but once engine is warm no difference in viscosity between a 5w30 and a 10w30.
it has Rato engine

Great point. Excellent oil!
You obviously did not read the manual before making this video.
Thanks for watching. What did I miss? Did they make some changes in the manual?
