Relaxing in a Marsh / Paddling Paradise

- 7 mellow minutes of untouched beauty. Visiting my hometown in Michigan, we took a spare afternoon to paddle the 'crick' behind my grandparent's house. This was a bucket list item for me, the creek is rarely paddled by other explorers and I've never had a kayak before last year. My whole life I've wondered what it was like back there, and now I know it was worth the wait. We only wish we'd had a sunny day for brighter underwater filming. We were fortunate enough to discover endless Red-Winged Black Bird nests, and show off not only their incredible nest building skills, but also eggs and a few little babies! Hope you enjoy!

Beautiful and peaceful place in the water glades. A tender and gentle nursery for our planets wildlife that we need to keep the way it is. We all need to stop draining and building banks, drug stores and condos on our water sheds. Thanks for sharing your beautiful piece of heaven on earth. 👍❤

great video... where I live now there is hardly any freshwater fishing or kayaking, I have to do mostly ocean now... ocean kayaking is exciting and cool in its own way, but swamps and creeks are so awesome, I miss Luisanna and Wisconsin.....

Where are all the gators at? I live in the alligator capital of Texas. So yakking thru our swamps and marshlands is always fun with all the dinosaurs.
Looks something like or swamp here in henderson County down in the ozie bottoms out side Smith mills we call it the Jennie hole runs from the ohio river all year way to part of union town some places you need an air boat to get to the rest of it.
you should do a bass fishing video back there that looks like the the spot.
Really nice vid...I found the shots of the black bird’s nests interesting, a wonder how they can weave those nests so intricately??..I’ll have to watch for their nests at our marina.

Your best video ever! Looks like tremendous fishing. How do you know how to get back? The kayaks are ideal for mobility but I think I'd prefer something I could stand up in and get my bearings.
Thanks! I definitely made this one for my own family to enjoy as well. We do want to go back with paddleboards! There were areas where you could take whatever path around the cattails, but mostly there's only one main waterway to follow

We're on our way to the river right now! BUT through the month of June we won't have lines out. Gonna try some noodling though! They nest up and don't bite during midsummer.
