I feel this video so much!! I’ve been thriving as a mama after my girl turned 1 or so. She’s getting so much more independent and fun! She helps me really live in the moment, and I smile so much when I’m with my girl.
The "of course it was you" comment made me get teary eyed. I feel that everyday. Like you were the part of me that I didn't even know was missing. ❤ I know that he is his own little person on his own little path through this world but I am so grateful to get to hold his hand for as long as he will want me there as he goes down that path. ❤ This journey has been hard and postpartum depression was the lowest part of my life but he makes any hardship worth it and I am so grateful to have him the good and the hard.
I love this! I watched the 13 hardest things video when it came out & was looking forward to this one. I myself don't have kids yet & am honestly on the fence. So getting a truthful rounded picture is so helpful. I was wondering if you could share your thoughts (maybe in a future video!) about how you balance being a mom & maintaining a sense of self. That's probably my biggest holdup in having kids. The loss of the "old me," my hobbies, my free time, etc. is more than a little terrifying 😂So I would love your take on making time for yourself, doing the things that make you feel like "you," remembering that you're still your own individual person while still taking care of a child, being a mom and continuing to work, etc.
I’m the mom to a 3 mo old and your #1 is definitely on my list. I love to tell him “I grew you!” and despite him not knowing what I am saying he responds with a giant gummy smile like I am his entire world. Definitely fills my cup ❤
This video feels so so good to watch. I feel really apprechative for the past two years and even more since I watched you talkeing about the things you love. Feels so good during those ups and downs we all know!
My babe is almost12 months, and this video has me 🥹. I agree, there’s nothing more grounding and transformative. Being a mama is by far my favorite role I’ve had in this life.
Younger follower 🙋♀️ I’m 28 and have really loved your content about pregnancy motherhood now that I’m considering that stage for myself. (You also were a factor of how I figured out I have celiac.)
To your point 12, my mom always says, I wonder what we used to talk about before we had kids 😅 I completely see that as my friends have become parents, I just love asking them about their kids and watching them grow and explore.
Aww I'm 23 and am not thinking about having a baby but it makes me so happy to hear all of the joys! So excited for your next chapter in your new house!!
Thank you so much Lucie, I felt how emotional and grateful you are to talk about all this, you got me crying !!! What an amazing adventure, you 3 are doing so great ! I would say, agreeing with most of what you said, that I love how pregnancy and motherhood got me "growing" and evolving profoundly (as never anything else did), and how I managed to take care of myself during pregnancy (more than any other time in my life). Now I try to keep these good habits, and to keep in mind that I am worth taking care of myself even when I am not pregnant :D
Thank you so much for this video! Also I love how you said “parenting team” because that is exactly how parenting should be approached… it’s not a 1-2 person job but a team job bc it’s impossible without help. Also where is you sweater from?! I love it

Julia- just a note from Lucie’s dad. Lucie & Allie are fraternal twins. Only identical twins are hereditary. I think the older women get, the more likely they are to have twins. Lucie & Allie’s mom was 38 when she had them.
I’m so glad you put the positive side of parenting! So rare to find them nowadays
