Heard this on uncut cd that came with the magazine and it just blew me away. I wish it was available as a download - one of my all-time fav Dylan songs on one of the best ever covers of any of his songs. Simply stunning and beautiful version.
Amazing cover of Sad eyed ladies of the lowlands by Wyes Blood l have always love this song. Bob Dylan is still the best musician in the world. Love from your friend Adam.
Great cover! Happy to see that it is a full cover. Follows Dylan's original closely but works very well with the background chorus. Natalie's distinct voice and way of utilising it for a an etheral feel show its full strength here, especially towards the end.
Ahh thanks for this! Didn't realize this existed until now, and it's full of that Titanic Rising sound....real pity Eliana Athayde isn't in her current touring band, with those terrific backing vocals.
How you can make such a beautiful performance of the best love song ever recorded (along with Shelter from the Storm?). This hynotic recording honored the astonishing crescent music chords on every verse and the incredible masterful phrasing a monument of lyrics deserve. Fantastic sounds and voice delivery. Thank you for your performance and talent from this humble songwriter. Beauty is to be the wave after catching it.
I saw you in Birmingham Alabama in late 1970s or early 80s slow train coming your precious angel and you got to serve some body See Jonathan kleck if it's not too late I like key west song I got or had family from key west largo miami Cuba I read they work a old light house once ,see ya buddy
Jesus maybe there are some a drift out in the oceans water where they flow into the rivers and streams sea surrounded by the land surfaces with trees climbing up the hills banks sides aloes bloom before you Jesus my healing salve my eyes can bear up alone you are my healing wings that move with compassion mercies waters my weary soul Jesus Lord God. Lord they know some do. That we are the angels trapped in these host bodies of flesh for taken the bait from who use to be our master but there is only one that it faithful and true Jesus the Lord God of hosts El the Almighty. We know they hide in host bodies now given to your prophet Jonathan kleck the angel of the church of Philadelphia.
This was the first song by Dylan that I fell in love with. Weyes Blood always made me think of this song and now here she is singing it!
Young lady with a beautiful vintage voice
holy fuck best vocalist of the fucking century.
Whoever disliked, I just wanna talk

Why isn’t this on Spotify?
i love that she was included with some serious legends on this comp.
she absolutely belongs amongst them.
I agree. I just got a ticket to see her, and I am trying to explain that she is a modern master to my friend.

is there a way to buy these recordings if you didn't get the magazine?
Have you heard Odetta sings Dylan?
Amazing cover of Sad eyed ladies of the lowlands by Wyes Blood l have always love this song. Bob Dylan is still the best musician in the world. Love from your friend Adam.
This is awesome! It’s like a cross between the Dylan and Baez versions of the song. (Famously written about Dylan’s wife, Sara Lownds.)
Great performance. thank you. oh, and happy 80th Bob.. from The Toc.

Weyes is absolutely unreal and knows her niche, very few of those rn
This is just wonderful. Such an emotive reading of a timeless lyric.
Obviously the bar is set very high for Dylan covers, but to my ears Natalie raises it somewhat here. Superb to the very last second.
I love Bob Dylan, but good lord is Natalie such a better vocalist.
This incredible song was sung live at my college graduation. I will never forget!
This is so beautiful! Thank you so much!!
Just fantastic!!
Wow .. so very beautiful .. exquisite touch ..
Outstanding.

This Dylan tune rivals ALL the BEATLES #1 chart toppers.
Rivals? The songwriting is vastly superior to anything The Beatles ever wrote
nice
Magnificent
Exquisite. JfromOH
This is great. Like the way old skool organ, drums and bass are largely unadorned.
I wish Iron & Wine (artist) would be on one of these cover records.
Unfuckingreal
Any chance you could upload the Flaming Lips cover from this CD please? Really want to hear it!
Sure thing, I can later today.
@@ianblum22 Brilliant! Thanks, mate!
Who ever disliked i wanna talk to ! Sydney Australia 🦘🦘🦘 28/3/2024😊
Il y a bien que Natalie pour réussir à me faire aimer Dylan. Happy birthday en retard to her by the way!
I desperately need this on vinyl. Probably would need a 10" to fit it on one side though.
8:05 incidentally, it was originally Cannery Row, not Canary Row
Cannery Road???
Cannery Row
It's a novel by John Steinbeck
I saw you in Birmingham Alabama in late 1970s or early 80s slow train coming your precious angel and you got to serve some body See Jonathan kleck if it's not too late I like key west song I got or had family from key west largo miami Cuba I read they work a old light house once ,see ya buddy
M
I’m i❤😢😊
What’s “canary row”?!
PERFECT except she sings "canary row" instead of Cannery Row :(
Someone with tech-expertise please fix it!
Better than Dylan's
No.
@@auramac yes
It is very good, definitely not better than the original though
Sounds a bit like Baez
worked for me until - Canary Row??
Musta been thinkin' about the Tweety and Sylvester cartoon
I thought this too. Easy mistake to make if you don't get the reference.
@@neonatalpenguin I was joking
@@jimswainston I was replying to Dave, not you.
Yep, it really jars, doesn't it? It also changes the lyric significantly by losing the Steinbeck reference.

What?
I found the singing monotonous and lacking in dynamics. Joan interprets the lyrics better.
This is more of a cover of Joan Baez's cover of the song. Very nice but nothing new.
