    The Gorilla Grip slip-resistant, waterproof mattress pad is a solution for bedwetting and incontinence. It measures 34 x 52 inches. This is intended to be used IN ADDITION to a mattress protector, not instead of! This would be for situations where there is a known bedwetting or incontinence issue with kids, the elderly, pets, etc.
    Since they claim that it can absorb up to 8 cups of water without it leaking through, I thought I'd put it to the test! So I did just that -- poured 8 cups water on it! Want to know what happened? Just watch this video! How did it hold up? Did it leak? Was it waterproof?

    its not about it leaking so much as it wicks it away from the skin as well -- heat and urine means ammonia and skin break down -- that , and as you can see if the person pee's twice , the already wet area pushes fluids outward and towards sides where it can spill over

    Hi I know it's been a while since you posted this but do you remember if the pad was wet to touch afterwards on the top side?

    Really interesting video. I've been on the hunt for an incontinence mattress pad for my geriatric dogs who sleep with me cause they have anxiety. They'll sometimes leak pee while they sleep and I won't find out about it until the morning or if I feel it while half awake. Been looking for vids like this to compare. I know that they don't pee a whole lot cause I take them to go potty before bed but it's enough to leave a dinner plate size wet mark. And waterproof mattress covers still leak onto my mattress given enough time lapse before I clean it, usually 8-10 hrs or less sometimes(it's a 5yr old one from Amazon I got awhile ago). Thanks for the video. I'm considering getting this one so I don't have to replace my mattress again.

    Do you throw it in the washer and then dryer afterwards ? The dryer doesn't ruin the plastic/waterproof barrier ? Have you tried drying under a hot sun afterwards and still find it as effective ? Thx

      I did run it through the washer and dryer a couple times (dry on gentle / low heat). It was fine.
      I did not try sun-drying.

    It annoying that they make it so small! Some people move around at night, so you could roll away from the mat!!

    • @dugroz
      @dugroz  3 года назад +4

      I agree! Why not just make it the same size as the mattress???

    What’s that plastic already on the mattress

    • @dugroz
      @dugroz  Год назад

      A mattress protector. Not plastic, it's cloth.

    This is silly. If you keep peeing on it, letting it dry, and keep peeing on it - it will eventually let the fluid through
