Originally got the spoons just for a kick to see if fish could eat it. Turns out they love and it gives off crazy flash. But as I say in the video it doesn't cast well and is too expensive to be practical for casting from the jetties imo. Would go crazy from a boat if you can avoid the rocks I bet.

I have the same foot long lures. I have one of the gold and a white, but every time I want to use one the wind isn't cooperating.

Man it started off slow then turned on after trying one more spot!
when i was younger i caught a redfish on a foot long ZOOM red earthworm with the wiggly tail. still my most memorable moment fishing for reds as it was the last cast before heading home on a hot day and i caught him in some circular pool with a narrow exit on the flats behind mustang island haha. theres actually a thing you can use to bring fish down to the bottom i forgot what its called but its basically a big weight, attach the fish to it and u can shake it off of them. deep sea fishermen use it

It is a penn carnage 2 10'. I will say its a rather stiff and heavy rod but I like it because you can cast a 3oz spoon further than most everyone when there is a school of fish at the jetty. Most people wont like it.
