I’ve been fascinated by wisteria. Love the purple flowers. I was planning on planting a couple but I’ve now changed my mind. Thanks to you and to RUclips for recommending your video at the right time. I needed to know this. Not for me! Thanks again

Wisteria is invasive. Don’t turn your back on it. Also, it travels below ground surface. It is beautiful when property managed but absolutely Borg when left to free rein. Over time it will kill even the tallest tree if not regulated.

"Miles of green growth". You're old enough to know that any more inattentiveness will not end well for your house or your birch tree, and no body will be able to stop it. Wisteria is the devil and should be illegal imho!!!

Brilliant mine has gone mad I have it on the front wooden portch peck and after trimming the top so it didn't go over the slate roof it's fallen there's so many flowers it's pulled it down covering the entrance to the front door 😮
I had to cut the under growth to enter sadly they had just flowers the smell is beautiful.
The only thing we can do at the moment is to houst it up with a rope and secure it around the open wooden beam I don't want to loose all the flowers yet then in winter cut back to get a better shape I'm not to sure if I cut the old wood that it will not flowers nexed year hoping it will .
Thanks for your video give me hope for mine
