To answer your main questions... the food was ok. Plenty of options to find things you like. Food is a personal thing and I've learned it's hard to judge for other people. My biggest pet peave was only getting 3, free a la cartes for a week stay. Would be less for a shorter stay. Never heard of a resort that does that. I think the safe was $2.50 per day. We told them at check in we didnt want the safe and they didn't charge us. We bring our own travel safe and that was fine. We only paid $810/person with air and hotel. Our expectations were low but it was a pleasant surprise. As long as you get the bungalow you booked and don't expect 5 star quality, you will be ok. We made the most of our trip. I wouldn't overpay to go here but I would definitely return.

I just booked this resort for the beginning of December. The reviews scare me...but you made me feel better, I think. :) did they charge you to use the safe? How was the food? We did upgrade to a bungalow, I'm disappointed that the fridge isn't stocked. Hydration is super important to me. Have to have lots of water, especially there. Any other tips are appreciated. Hi. What about the garden view bungalows. Are they located close to the water too, or are they in another area than the ones with view? What is the idfference? Is it worth to upgrade from garden view to sea view. I appericiate you feedback. We booked already for November with Garden view, and it is stated that the sea views are sold out, but maybe we can upgrade on the spot if they have a no show. Question is, is it worth it? Thanks
The garden views are all over the resort. You could be right behind an oceanfront bunaglow or you could be a decent away from the ocean. They have some that we walked by that were in really bad spots. If we got one up against the tennis court or in the back area farthest away from the ocean, we wouldn't be happy. Unfortuneatly it's luck of the draw as to where they put you. I personally dont think the garden view is worth the upgrade. The oceanfront is worth it. Some of the garden views seem to be bunched together really tightly. I hope you get a good location. I would send them an email 2 weeks before you go and request a bungalow as close to the water as possible. That would be your best bet. If you don't get a good one, go back at night and politely ask them if they had a better one. We found being nice is much better then people who bitch and complain about everything.
