- Barre is the most populous city in Washington County, Vermont, United States. Popularly referred to as "Barre City", it is almost completely surrounded by "Barre Town", which is a separate municipality. Barre is often twinned with the nearby Vermont state capital of Montpelier in local media and businesses. It is the main city in the Barre-Montpelier micropolitan area, which has nearly 60,000 residents and is Vermont's third largest metropolitan area after those of Burlington and Rutland. Barre is also Vermont's fourth largest city.
“Bar”????? Bar re. Get it right. So insulting
Bar city lmao
That’s how ya know they are out of towners. Or Flatlanders. Lol
The pronunciation of Barre is The same as Barry But thank you for driving through my hometown and filming it I love to see it
lol. It used to be the bar city of central vermont. The city has put a lot of resources into shutting them down. Imagine the revenue the city has lost only have 2 regular late night bars.
Lucky you didn't have an accident going streight in the right turn lane on Prospect Street, then going the wrong way on a one way street from Warren St. to Maple Avenue. Lol
Must be nice to have a street named after me! That's my name!
No way!
It was a little disconcerting when this guy showed the world my neighborhood. He drove right by my house.
Why are you Advertising my neighborhood on youtube? Drawing career criminals a map to know where the moneys at? And barre is nowhere near the fourth largest city. It was 10th or 11th back in 2000. Don't forget about that separate municipality. The town has about 9 thousand while the city is always hovering around 10, but no one really knows because most of those apartments have 2-5 above what the lease says of people who go couch to couch. Barre city's apartment districts are impoverished, degraded, and stereotyped by the locals. Apartments are not affordable, and if you don't have section 8 you either work, or you don't pay ur rent. the turn over rate is frightening. It is safe though. No random acts of violence. Very few random robberies. We did go through a stint of store robberies with multiple different people who just saw it as easy money cause no one got caught til way later. Barre is a great place to grow up. Just get a job young, establish yourself. Watch out for drugs, and be careful of who you meet do to ordinary small city drug problems. otherwise you'll just struggle to get by for most of your life.
