    I know most people are watching this to lose weight but I'm watching this to get on a healthy meal plan to break eating disorder behaviours. It seems like a lot of food for me to intake, but I like the meals you prepped so... I'll give it a shot.

      Yes. I sometimes skip meals not as a disorder but simply because I'm not hungry. When I do eat I eat crap. I simply need to eat healthier and on a schedule. I want to become a healthy fit person. Honestly I'm a little over weight.

    tip:
    eat a heavy meal for lunch (so you won’t snack) and eat a light meal at night(because it’s hard for your body to digest the food while ur sleeping)

      Raya N that’s exactly what I thought! She should just switch the lunch over dinner, it would be so much better and keep her even more energized! I do full period college and gym so I would never be up with that tiny amount of food hahaha I need something stronger

      actually heavy meals are harder to digest at any time of day,and always eat 3-4 hours before sleep.

      Eat a big breakfast so you won't get hungry because breakfast is the most important meal of the day since you get energy to push through the day and then a normal lunch (apples or any other fruit could be good) light dinner like you said 👌

      I'm the opposite way, even though I am active. I used to be able to eat huge portions but somehow now when I eat somewhat bigger portions, I instantly feel sick so I have to eat small portions around the day.

    Hello! I found your channel about a month ago when I started my weight loss journey. I'm 49 years old and 5 foot three so I, like you, am petite in stature and cannot carry a lot of weight without it really showing. Obviously I'm much older than you are however moving towards menopause my metabolism has stalled to a halt. I love love love your recipes and your simple approach to weight loss.     This helped me so much! Thank you Liezl, you inspire me with all these simple recipes and motivation. I am now improving my food “diet”.
    This works! Try to:
    1. Avoid junk food and sodas
    2. Try exercising at least 4 times a week
    3. Cook some of your meals. It’s delicious, rewarding and you know what’s in it!
    4. Give yourself a reward every time you do something healthy (eat a fruit, buy yourself a little gift, etc..)
    5. Try some vegan meals, it helps your skin SHINE and it’s healthy!
    6. Drink detox drinks instead of sodas or sugary beverages (ex: lemon water or lime water, that helps with weight loss)
    This is the longest comment I’ve ever written but hope it helps! It’s what I try to do.

      I have done some food tables and determine the right amount of carbohydrates, protein and fat
      The use of this channel recipes is delicious and suitable for weight loss
      But I do add some of the proteins to these recipes
      Because I'm trying to gain muscle at this time

    I started my diet in June 10/2019 up to the present moment ( 2 July) I lost 4pound,. I started to eat all healthy food from Liezl recipes and absolutely didn't want to eat any sweets because meal keeps full all the time. Plus exercise 3 times of the week because my work gave me 9 miles walk every day ( my feet so tired after) Have to lose 20 lb still. I'm short and I was 142lb. Its really works! Thanks, Liezl !!!!

    I have been dieting since April I have tried Thrive and it has been great. I Started out at 299.9 and now I am at 283. There are still hard days but I have a lot more energy with the thrive products.

      Elisia Dones Myers a few ways I've seen is to drink water when your bored or before and after a meal, I've also heard chewing gum and/or brushing your teeth can help :)

      Use chromium supplement or eat more fruit rich in magnesium & chromium...maybe drink a different type of (mineraal rich) water? Use 2 tbl spoons of chia seeds in your drinks that should help...

      N. Fer. Ⓥ I think that if you're used to eat bigger portions of not as healthy food as this video shows then it's definitely not gonna fill you up, but it's just because you're body is not familiar with this particular food and what it brings to your body. I think that if you're gonna start to eat healthier like she does then you're gonna be hungry at first, but you gotta keep in mind that your metabolism just has to get used to those new nutriments, and after a couple weeks you're gonna see the difference between what you think how much you needed to eat and how much you actually need to eat.
      I hope that it answers your question!
      (Sorry if there's any grammar mistakes I don't speak english on a daily basis!)

      guys, she didn't say she is wanting to loose weight, or anything like so... no need to tell her that she have should eat healthier food ;) i would be starving if eating porridge for breakfast, well... we all all different and every video like that might give us a nice idea what different we could put into our diet, but I don't think anyone should take it like a strict guideline.

      minimalel I have had the same issue. My mum is supportive of me eating healthier but she still buys more junk food than healthy foods like fruit, veggies, etc. The best way to get around it is to go grocery shopping with her- that way you can choose the foods you want and stop your mum from buying you chocolate, biscuits, etc that you don't want to eat. Also in terms of not being able to resist the temptations of eating the junk food in your house- you simply just have to have self control. You can eat junk food in moderation. Don't restrict yourself too much, but resist the urge to eat an unhealthy amount. Hope this advice helped in some way, I wanted to reply to these comments bc I can relate xx

      @@nicolalica1839 with the junk food, eat it when your friends visit and share. That way you eat less and get rid of it faster and everybody is happy. (Unless mom starts buying more cuz she knows your friends love it. Eat it discreetly. Lol. Not like hiding it but just not in the kitchen. Take it to your room or whatever and don't make too big a deal out of it.

    Not sure why Freelee came for you. The only thing this diet seems to be lacking is more fruits in the morning. And I guess she came for the chicken lol but this was overall very healthy, light, and nutritious!!!!

    Is it me or when i say "im gonna diet!" Then I see my sister's eating spaghetti,and pasta.. I cant say no to that :(
    It's just every single time I see something good that was cooked but not so healthy.. I cant.

      Try substituting things . Instead of using the pasta your family uses. Boil your own pasta (whole grain pasta) eat a smaller portion and stay away from pork

    Hi Liezl! I really love your channel! I have never really watched so many of just ones person's videos! I've been following your diet (the smoothies, oatmeal, avocado toast, baked potato) and now I'm excited to make your chocolate brownie balls. Yum! I am obsessed with the avocado toast you posted because the bread is SO DELICIOUS. I wake up craving it! Watching you made me realize that the #1 thing I was doing wrong was portion sizes. I really enjoy that your meals are easy balanced, filling, and vegan friendly! Your videos are short and to concise with a lot of information and you skip the information we already know. My tummy has honestly never felt so good and I have tons of energy! I've done your HIIT work out twice and yes! I love that I can get my workout over with so quickly! Thanks for showing us a lifestyle that is actually sustainable and not extreme!!

    Hi Liezl, I love your videos, I don't watch them because I want to loose weight but for meal inspiration.
    I love your advise, I love that you emphasize the importance of loosing weight in a healthy manner, but I think it might be a good idea to do a kind of informative video about basal metabolic rate, daily energy intake vs. outtake and all that physical stuff. Sadly, lots of women who want to loose weight still don't know that they always need energy in their body, even when they're trying to drop a few pounds. Now, I do know about this stuff as a nutrition student, but maybe some of your audience don't and in my opinion it's SO important to know about the basic metabolic processes in a human body.
    My basal(!!) metabolic rate for example is around 1500 kcal/d, so if I were to follow a 1200 kcal diet for a longer period of time, it could have very harmful effects on my body :)

      YES YES YES! My BMI is in the normal healthy range and my Basal Metabolic Rate is like 1600 kcal, so even if I sat on my lazy ass all day (which I do most days), I still need those kcal to keep my organs functioning properly! There aren't a lot of women who need less than 1500 kcal a day. So it's probably better to recommend a daily intake of over/around 1500 kcal but promote an active lifestyle. So that the energy spent increases, Liezl!!!

      I’m super tiny so my basal metabolic rate is around 1030 so if I eat 1200 or 1300 then it would be fine for me

    It is working for me! it is so surprising! Even with a day off once a week on the same day each week. I eat what ever I want and I am strong during the week because I know I can treat myself all day if i want to. When I was younger I never had chocolate and cake everyday!
    I have 7 kgs to lose and lost 2 in two weeks already just clean eating and looking at nutrition in particular for each meal. My favourite is your oats and peanut butter breakfast i last for hours easily! You are a Gem Liezl thanks for sharing your food habits it has opened my eyes to how easy it really is.

      I agree, I've love to see a videos of healthy dinner recipes as well. I especially enjoyed the dinners in some of her previous videos that showed how much she serves herself vs the portion size for her husband. I'd love to see more like that.

    Hey guys! For everyone who needs motivation! It’s ok to sometimes retreat yourself! I eat no sugar most of the time and no meat or dairy but sometimes I do have a bit of sugar. Like maybe once a month so it’s ok to give ur self something sweet every once in a while! U guys got this!

    This is for those who are trying to lose weight as a teenager I really hope it'll help you
    Meal plan for teenagers-
    1st meal (10-15 mins after waking up)=handfull of almonds or a banana
    2nd meal(Breakfast)=eggs with two slices of gluten-free whole grain bread or a side of oatmeal with fruit and greek yogurt
    3rd meal(Mid-morning snack)=any kind of seasonal fruit or nuts or even nut bars
    4th meal(Lunch)=brown rice with chicken and a side of vegetables cooked in any way but in a healthy way
    5th meal(Evening snack)=you can make a smoothie with a cup of milk half frozen banana and any fruit of your choice like strawberries or mangoes whatever you prefer
    6th meal(Dinner)=try to have no carbs at night so go for a salad or vegetable soup it can be too and also get in a habit of eating fish at night you can have samen or prawn maybe once or twice a week oh and make sure you have atleast a little bit of yogurt after dinner or you can even go for a glass of milk with a teaspoon of turmeric trust me its really good for your health
    It's really important to have 1800-2200 calories as a teenager and having 6-7 meals a day will also help you to lose weight easily
    Also a few more things you gotta do-
    Sleep as early as you can make sure you sleep 2-3 hours after your dinner also if possible after lunch and dinner try to walk in ur house for like 15-20 mins which will help in digestion also make sure you sleep 8-9 hours per day
    Don't forget to drink enough water drink atleast 8-10 glasses of water the more water you drink the more it will help you lose weight
    For teenagers its best to get in sports everyday you can do any sports that you like 1 hour everyday if you like basketball get into that if you enjoy swimming get into a swimming class if you love dancing dancing will really be a good workout for you actually anything definately if you like to workout you can too just make sure you don't workout too much 30 mins is enough per day also if you can do a little weight training its good too because teenagers need to lift up weights too I guess 2 days a week will be good
    Also make sure you're active as a teenager like definately yall go to school and all of that yeah make sure ur active too
    You can have cheat days but eating in moderation will really help you lose weight quickly remember you have to turn your eating habits your lifestyle or your fitness your lifestyle thats really important it'll take you 4-5 months to lose weight in a healthy way if you follow this diet to stay lean and slim but definately make sure you make these your lifestyle
    I really hope it helps for those teenagers who are looking for a real diet that works because I've tried this myself I hope you reach your desired goal

    I'm 5'0" tall she has the closest meal plans that I should try based on height and calorie intake. Everyone else I've seen that does this is like 5'6" or 5'8" and they of course have to do more. But this helps me so much. Thank you! 😊
