Thank you Carly. I also have an Ileostomy 6 months. I'm 69, had ulcerative colitis. 36 years ago I had my big intestine removed and had a ileostomy for a year until everything was healed. I had a pouch and everything was fine. In the last 2 years I started having problems, pain in my rectum, going to the bathroom 20 times a day and so on. The doctor suggested it would be better to have an Ileostomy so I could live a better life. So it was done. I don't have much problems and I live a much better life than before. Was diagnosed with colitis back in 2016, no drugs helped, had colon removed, had bag for 6 months, had surgery in 3 stages, have a jpouch now, been having pouchitis, burning all the time infections, obstructions, dehydration, just can't stand the pain anymore, talked to my doctor, he agreed, will be having surgery in the next couple weeks, and have a hernia from multiple surgeries, docter gonna fix that too.
