Getting any rank is acquired by getting enough points in the level. You can get either a D, C, B, A, or S Rank based on your performance at the end. Getting to B isn't too difficult if you're aiming for most of the collectibles in a level, but if you want to hit S rank you will have to pull up some leg work.
To get a P Rank in a level, it is expected that you do the following things within one run of any level:
Kill an enemy before leaving the first room
Get enough points for an S Rank
Find all toppins
Find all secrets
Get the secret treasure
Go through the Lap 2 portal
Never drop your combo once

Based on my personal experiences with this level, I can safely say it is simultaneously the funniest and most aggravating level to play through. ESPECIALLY if you're going for the P Rank! "Oh Shit!" is the perfect title for this level, because that's what you're going to be saying over and over as you mess up! AND YOU WILL. MESS. UP.

This level seems to have one of the more long and involved escapes in the game.

@@lipingwang6640 No, crumbling tower is a minute longer (5:40). While Oh Shit has the 2nd longest escape in the entire game (I think), it's only 4:35.
to be honest i wish levels in general were longer.. they just feel short.. well most of the levels..
I don't know if I've just memorized these videos down pat or what, but this one only took me a few tries. Though multiple failures came from Mr. Pinch not cooperating and flinging me somewhere not intended, or somehow just failing to catch me entirely. It was less 'oh shit' and more 'wait, what'.
This level's P Rank difficulty gets way too overblown out of proportion. It's nowhere near as hard as other levels, like say Gnome Forest
Man, in my successful attempt, Mr. Pinch almost screwed me over by putting me up on a platform and refuse to throw me, which almost costed me my Combo.
Luckily I could calm myself and walk over to some clocks to keep on going.

This level was only hard to P Rank before I learned I can pick up enemies and put them back down. Moving one of the monkeys in the first part of the escape sequence really changed my life
EDIT: Ohhh, you carry the cheese slime for the same effect. A bold and cunning strategy, puts monkey moving to shame

@@thedayismonday7952 yeah, what soft said. The combo meter is really tight and you can time out in cheese ball, so leaving an enemy alive gives you some more breathing room

me, going into this level with the previous worlds P ranks down my belt, hearing from a couple friends that this level was annoying: I don't think it'll be too bad. it'll just take some memorization like the other levels!
having done it, I underestimated now how grueling the P rank is for this level. you pretty much have to play this level PERFECTLY, because if you make one mistake, you get beat over the head with it and have to start over. Pain!

@@unevennoble9363 you really can make a lot of mistakes in most levels -- taking damage, missing an enemy, etc. mostly doesn't break your combo.

In my opinion i think this level is a little confusing and hard but when you reach lap 2 and see that p on the corner you feel like a god
4:22 this part ruined my combo so many times until i realized that i can kill the cheese slime right as i go into the transformation

Secret #3 was the only secret I had to look up to find when I was P Ranking every level within 4 hours.

Everyone’s out here saying this is so hard to p rank; and yeah, it’s pretty annoying. But after losing 5 consecutive p rank runs to gnome forest’s last secret right next to the end, this is absolutely nothing.
Yeah I can see why the secret would be tough, I lost 3 runs in the first room because I didn’t think to spare any enemies on my way out and after I did realize I should do that I accidentally superjumped in front of the entrance. The first ingredient in that secret is so far lol
@@DrGandW oh I only lost one run that way, but now that you mention it I have no idea how. I’ll make sure I spare that one cheese slime in the first room go when I inevitably to a 101% Holy **** run.
Idk about you, but I beat gnomes secret in the first try while doing a P rank attempt. I would recommend you practice the 3rd secret or have a faster reaction time.

There are loads of tight spots combowise, but there is nothing you cannot deal with consistantly.
Gotta learn the ninja's way to attack, use your super taunts wisely and try not to fuck it up. Good luck!

It almost makes up for definitely running around in shit.

i dont know if its just me, or i found some route that is generally great for this satge, but i generally didnt have many problems with this stage, rarely did i ever lose my combo during pizza time, maybe like once or twice, and it wasnt even on the beginning, because i always saved that monkey for when i was a ball. And no i did not move the monkey i just let him live (i generally had bigger problems with fun farm and oregano desert, the first one because of mort, second because the ketchunky just would be stunned for eternity and because of the cows)

4:22 this is the part i hate about the level , you have to grab it and hold it to keep your combo going , even if you do everything perfectly you still lose your combo if you don't do that.
I keep thinking i was doing something wrong until i ended up in this video noticing that it was made in a way you will lose your combo regardless
If I was playing this level I would be saying, "I feel like Mario and Luigi should be doing this!"

I feel this level’s difficulty is GREATLY exaggerated.
Yeah, it’s not that easy, but it’s not that hard compared to levels like Bloodsauce Dungeon, Oregano Desert, Peppibot Factory, and ESPECIALLY Gnome Forest, all of which are played before. If anything, the hardest part for me is escaping after getting Gerome
Tbh Bloodsauce Dungeon is not that hard to P Rank if you can drift well even if you made several massive blunders along the way
Yeah, I was about to say the exact same thing.
The parts that messed me up the most were the Teenage Mutant Ninja Pizzas climb, and the bit right after taking out John. When I decided to take my time with the climb and killing the cheese slime by picking it up and getting caught in the cheese ball gave me enough time to reach the clocks.
These are troublesome sports for sure, but nothing as bad as that one section in Gnome Forest near the end that has to be played perfectly or else you're screwed.
The problem with levels like Gnome Forest, Peppibot Factory and Oh Shit! are that they are just a bit too long when it comes to P Ranking them. You just want to get back to the trouble spots and finally clear them, which results in making a ton of mistakes along the way. At least in Oh Shit! there are multple sections where you can sit and wait whilst letting your hand rest.
Right now I can't decide if Gnome Forest or Peppibot Factory were worse for me, but I put them both above Oh Shit! for sure.
@@HiddenForbidden2 I didn't think either Peppibot or Oh Shit! were that long compared to Gnome Forest. Reaching John Pillar took 3ish minutes on average in Peppibot and 4ish minutes in Shit, but Gnome Forest took upwards to 6 min for me usually, but the other two did have longer escapes

@@shmegalodonschmuckington786 bloodsauce dungeon would have been like 50% easier to P rank if it wasn't for that part on the escape section with 2 pizza cutters one over the other, because there wasn't a single damn enemy/clock to keep your combo counter

oh my god, I just realized something: this whole level is supposed to be a sewer and they've got Ninja Pizzas as enemies.

Imagine being a casual player playing this game and you hit piller jhon in this level, then seeing that the timer is at 4 MINUTES.

Because it's unbalanced as hell, your lucky attempt does not make up for the majority of us.
There is a ton of waiting in the pipes, clunkiness of the transformation, ninja pizza, a ton of parts where you barely have enough time to maintain your combo, (I like how everybody remembers Gnome Forest as a shit level cuz of that last part where you have to play it perfectly to get that single toppin but you don't say anything about this levels when there are like a thousand choke points), a ton of random blocks put in place to stop you from going fast in a game about an italian going at 40mph, Isn't this counter intuitive ???????. Banana placements are just made by a psychopath. This was clearly not play tested, also this level has one of the worst escapes giving you just enough time to make a second loop. Oh and btw, if you are wondering, yes they nerfed the level already, at release date this was hell. There is no level right now in the whole game worst than this, every level has something to make it up for their bad parts, this level doesn't. Don't even try to argue that the last trio of levels are hard cuz they aren't, war is just plain and simple, pizzascare is piss easy and don't make a sound is just ok, only boring. These are extremely easy too, peppibot isn't hard, gnome forest isn't, refrigerator isn't and it even makes up with the last part where you eat satan's choice which is pretty cool imo and everything from floor 3 to 1 i don't even have to talk about them, even a toddler can P rank those.

“waiting in the pipes” I don’t really see the issue here there are a lot of basically automatic parts of the game and the longest pipes are like two seconds, this is only a problem if you’re already mad and impatient. Combo even freezes so that’s not an issue, maybe that was changed?

“Lots of parts where you have barely enough time to maintain combo” there’s exactly one at the Pillar John room where you have to save an enemy to kill while cheeseballed or it takes too long. Name another that is a problem as long as you play well.
“Banana placements” most bananas are helpful and the ones that aren’t are randomly placed by monkeys and are pretty reactable I did lose a run to one but it was completely my fault.
I assume the time was raised in the nerf because I had a cool 20ish seconds when I finished lap 2 so I won’t say anything about that.
I don’t rate Oh Shit very highly but there really aren’t bad levels in Pizza Tower. That one room early in Pizzascare with the ramp though, f that noise
@@DrGandW Thats what I did, I parried those ninjas but like, man its a game about being fast, parring doesn't stop your momentum but you also will have a hard time jumping from wall to wall parring 4 ninjas in less than 20 seconds. The game is known for being fast and then all of a sudden I just have to wait or play slowly cuz there is literally no other way arround? Isn't that counter intuitive? The part with the pillar john where you have to save a guy for later isn't that bad but there is some questionable design choices before the first coin pincher which leaves you with very little room for error, I didn't lose any of my runs there cuz I could to that part perfectly but that does not mean I can't see how shitty it is. Bananas are sometimes helpful but there is a part where you have to jump over them and you have to have pixel perfect precision to jump over without getting hit and also killing the enemies. And for people which have issues with the pizzascare ramp just do exactly what you did for the oh shit escape after you knock john and you have to save a guy for later. You can literally jump over the ghost to preserve it or jump over the clock toppins to preserve them when coming back from the treasure.
I just saw peppino eat a cheese slime a few times in this level. Did he forget that any food in this level is NOT safe to eat at all?

well that because its not important to get all toppins on level, it only requires you to get S rank, which can be get by getting only 3-4 toppins
