First time I heard respected Pt Venkatesh ji live in Ravindra Natya Mandir Mumbai early morning few years ago. He made the morning atmosphere so blissful that 2hrs passed in no time.

I heard this great composition in 1982-83 from Dr. Prabha Atre in Chatri Navaratri at Dagadu Sheth Ganesh Mandir at Pune; and was literally lost! Then again after few months on AIR Saturday music concerts. Since last 15 yrs & more I have been searching it in the voice of Dr. Prabha Atre or anyone, but result was zero. Got one audio version from a Gujarathi lady singer; quite good one, but not to my satisfaction at par what had mesmerized first time! Of course this one by Pandit ji is 100% at par what was in my long memory! The voice quality, maturity, devotion, command; all at par Prabha Tai! Its but natural, since both are masters from Kirana Gharana! So happy today!

I heard him live few years back in Pratswar concert by Pancham Nishad in Mumbai. I was mesmerized by his soulful singing. @Morning 6 30 audience was left spellbound. Hope I can hear him more live.
