You two have a positive affect on my mental health. Sue your laughter and smiles and keeping Papa focused and Papa your humor keeps my mind in a sunny place.
I work in the clothing department at Sam’s Club and am currently on a support mission to another club with my coworker. I was just watching Sara’s latest video and telling my coworker about the family and looked up your channel to discover that you posted this video from my home club. It looks like you must have popped in within an hour or so of when we left for this trip. I love this!
Oh Papa and Nana, i was born and raised in Michigan on a farm. And we had rhubarb growing wild behind our barn. I would go get some and take it and rinse it off with the garden hose, and eat it just like that. On a warm summer day, it was soooo goooooood!!!! Love your channel and your children’s too! God bless you both!
Yes, Vidalia onions onion pie are the best. I’ll have to find my mother‘s recipes to send to you… sending , love, prayers and kindness with a daily dose of encouragement. Thanks for fun video. ♥️🙏🏼🌹👍🏼🇺🇸
Susan thanks for the laugh when Jerry talked about the Vidalia onions and you said you're not going to freeze those are you? It just made me laugh. Thanks and have a great wk end!
I really enjoy your kitchen videos but also I really like just watching you guys shop at sams. It was very chill and calming during a rough week. Thanks for posting!
Strawberry rhubarb pie made with rhubarb but the strawberry flavor is from dry strawberry jello mix which also counts as part of the sugar. Tastes wonderful, has a rosy appearance, and can be made when strawberries are out of season.
Fueled and ready to shop! Good for you Nanna about the budget! The shirts are the culprit. Happy Shoppers. I trust your cooking Papa….get more rhubarb. I like to hoard certain things also.
Hi When you find Rhubarb please make a pie in memory of my mom Ruth. She used to grow it in our backyard growing up. She was such a good cook. Lyatt Sandee from Ohio 💜💜🙏🤟😊😊
Yes it is fun looking around but now that our children are grown, we really don't need bulk!! Looks y'all got some great deals!! Often I forget my list at home but I usually remember the items from memory!! Shopping with you is such fun!! Thank you!!
My husband spotted rhubarb 1.99 a pound in Hamilton Michigan!!! I was born & raised in holland MI. MY house on Lincoln Ave. I had 2 huge plants in my flower garden !!Now I live in country in fennville mi & I can't grow it !!! Maybe I'll buy some more plants & try again !! 😅 Enjoy you guys so much GOD BLESS❤❤.
Hope you get some local rhubarb, Papa, to make your pie! It’s really wonderful with strawberries in a pie. I’ve started two plants in my garden ; hopefully in a year or two I’ll have lots of fresh rhubarb to harvest! It has avery short shelf life in the grocery stores, and it’s quite expensive, so I’m trying my hand at growing my own!
You guys are so awesome love going with you shopping at Sam’s never had a rhubarb pie or a onion pie sounds delicious thank you Papa and Nana for always sharing and taking us along. God bless.❤❤
Hello an tip for the chicken cut it in half a debone it an boil the bones for broth they seal as they cool when u pour it off into jars after. An freeze the half y'all didn't use an make ur chicken salad . Makes for easy lunches. It's just me an my 2 dogs I love a whole chicken but I can't eat it even the dogs .... 😂❤🎉
I LOVE onion pie and it's too hot in Florida where you are for rhubarb. We're up in North Central FL and I've tried several times to keep a plant going, but my gardening friends say there's not enough cold. We're going north next week and our daughter says the rhubarb is huge, so I'm hoping for some! I'm glad you finally remembered those shirts affecting the "grocery" budget!
I have rhubarb growing in my back yard. I used to give it to a large group of people but unfortunately most of them have passed away and I now have no one to give it to. My mom used to cook it and put it over custard or ice cream.
The Sam’s worker should plant those mint tops in some dirt, mint grows very easily. Then she wouldn’t have to be stealing from her employer. Here in Washington Rhubarb is very popular. I need to replant mine as it died out. I love it. Jam, pies, stewed with crème anglaise - Maybe we like it so much because we live in commercial strawberry land.
Listening to you guys cracks me up, I just froze some bags of rhubarb also , never know when the end of the world will be and you may need some rhubarb 😆
Rhubarb, blueberries, peaches, in my freezer year around. Made an avacado lime cheesecake last week, delicious! Tomato pie and onion pie , yummy she’ll love it.
Y'all were cracking me up, I love your shopping videos! My Husband and I were in Sam's a couple weeks ago, my shorts were what made us spend so much lol
Today I paid £1.52 per litre for petrol in south London, England which is the equivalent of $5.75 a gallon. Jerry why don’t you try making caramelised onion jam, great on a burger.
I know that I don't always comment, but just for U to know I do always watch your videos. And today, while I (finally) was watching, I felt a sense of commonality/connection w the way the both of you are in how U interact talking about your budget as you walk thru the huge grocery store. The realization that Jerry 'confessed' to about how he enjoys shopping for food; his needs to have at home 'these' specific foods even if he does not know when that food will actually be cooked/baked. I live alone (in Israel if U recall from an earlier video of yours).I don't really cook/bake that often ; partly due to some health issues, as well as the fact that I keep kosher. And here I am, 61y, yet I feel /know this sense of comfort and safety if/when I buy these specific foods (or other items) to have in my home, I also try to use the App on my phone (or at least, my brain) as I calculate in my brain, as I decide. I, too, hoard, but in a specific way that is in control. I rarely buy one chocolate bar because I know I will easily eat it all w/o realizing it. But if I buy a 'large' amount of packaged chocolate (here in Israel, I buy pareve chocolate bars as a package if six; that I actually bought ten10 of them back two months ago. I feel safe knowing that I have so much available chocolate that for some strange reason, I then do not feel as strong of a need/urge to eat all the chocolate at one time; maybe because I know it is available so I don't feel unsafe? I also feel and shop the same way when it comes to sales (I've heard that some of these sales are also called 'loss leaders'?) when I buy tilapia fish, frozen garden peas, and a few other things. I hope your Memorial Day was meaningful and joyful. Blessings, love and prayers for all, from Israel 🇮🇱. Peace for all on this Earth and in this World! The Nation of Israel Lives; Israel Will Survive.
Sue. The Sweet Kale salad is my favorite. The thing about shopping at Sam’s is you go home with so much that wasn’t on your list. I enjoy your videos. Love the humor and laughter. My husband is also a shopper. In one of Sarah’s videos she was telling something about her Dad and Sue said , He’s retired. He shops. I identified with her right then. Lol
I bought 2 sweet kale last time I went to Sam’s. Same price. I always buy two boxes of the chicken cordon blue. I use them when I don’t feel like cooking. I agree I spend 200. When I get out of there.
Rhubarb pie is so good as my Aunt used to make it. Loved going to her house as she was such a great cook. Always enjoy going shopping with y'all as it's a fun adventure. Thanks!

Nana uses our daughter’s recipe on Out Tribe of Many. Granola 12 cups old fashioned oats mixed with 1/2 cup flour, 1 Tblsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg. Heat 1 cup honey with 1 cup oil (I use coconut) in microwave for two minutes. Mix into oats. Spread on greased baking sheets (I grease with olive oil). Bake on middle rack at 325 for 17 or 18 minutes. It hardens up as it cools. Store in container in cupboard.
Oh man, now I feel like a rhubarb pie (good one Papa) 😂. I haven’t had one of those for years. Yummy In regard to the cost of living, I often think of large families (obviously like Sara & Solo) & wonder how on earth they get by each week/month. It’s hard enough feeding 4 people, let alone 13. (Oh my word, I just watched their latest video - how exciting).
Lemon Greek chicken with rice and detached. I use bone in thighs. I use my cast iron., fresh lemon juice and broth add rice, sit feta on top of that then thighs cover at first , broil at very end. I add fresh dill too. Sliced lemon on top too. So delicious.
You two have a positive affect on my mental health. Sue your laughter and smiles and keeping Papa focused and Papa your humor keeps my mind in a sunny place.

WOW - - maybe we'll run into each other one of these days. I get up there about once every 2 months
Just found your channel. Watch your daughters as often as it posts. Enjoy both very much .thank you.
When I was little us kids would sit in my Aunts garden with a little cup of sugar and freshly picked rhubarb.
In Canada now, a grocery bag filled 2/3rds full is $100. It’s absolutely insane!
That’s INCREDIBLY inexpensive for gas! The Canadian equivalent in gallons, instead of litres, is $7.25/gallon! 😳😬
Just think of how much Sarah spends !! Y’all are so cute when you shop together!! 😀😀
Your channel is so uplifting! Thank you for sharing your story with us!
You two are awesome!
The Great Rhubarb Calamity 😅
Yes, Vidalia onions onion pie are the best. I’ll have to find my mother‘s recipes to send to you… sending , love, prayers and kindness with a daily dose of encouragement. Thanks for fun video. ♥️🙏🏼🌹👍🏼🇺🇸
I would love that! Please do!~ And I will do it on the channel
You both have such a delightful sense of humor. I also love your cool shades! 😎
If they have a meat department ask them to cut the meat up for you. They do it here and they don’t charge anything for doing it.
Tripe is the lining of the cows stomach
Susan thanks for the laugh when Jerry talked about the Vidalia onions and you said you're not going to freeze those are you? It just made me laugh. Thanks and have a great wk end!
Growing up my mom would make rubarb and strawberry jam. I have some growing in my backyard behind my garage
Oh my ....😂 sneaky man with those 2 shirts ..... my Mom grew rhubarb and made rhubarb custard pies 💕 sure miss her
I really enjoy your kitchen videos but also I really like just watching you guys shop at sams. It was very chill and calming during a rough week. Thanks for posting!
When he said $175 I was screaming - “it must be the shirts” 😂😂😂
Strawberry rhubarb pie made with rhubarb but the strawberry flavor is from dry strawberry jello mix which also counts as part of the sugar. Tastes wonderful, has a rosy appearance, and can be made when strawberries are out of season.
Sorry jello is not a good replacement for real strawberries. Sam’s and Costco both carry frozen strawberries which work well in pie.
Love watching you 2 shop!
Seriously!! The rhubarb conversation😂😂 also, Sarah must laugh seeing this. Two hundred dollars would be a great deal at Sam’s for her!😂
Just love watching you two and laughing with you!
Thanks for shopping g and sharing with us. 😂🎉❤😮😊
Fueled and ready to shop! Good for you Nanna about the budget! The shirts are the culprit. Happy Shoppers. I trust your cooking Papa….get more rhubarb. I like to hoard certain things also.
I love both of your chitter chatter, never fails to give me a good laugh! Glad you have some rhubarb at home 😊
Love the lighthouse ranch salad dressing too, no msg

Always fun to watch🤗🤗🤗
Thanks for the laughter about the shirts. We budget as well prices are just higher on food and gas. I love The Papa's Kitchen.
Great video guys, always love the shopping ones.
Love watching you guys

you could use your peaches in a clafoutis, just thaw them first, add a little almond extract, that's nice with peaches
$3.90 a gallon! Here in Scotland it's £1.56 a litre. About £6 a gallon and we produce our own oil. The tax man has a lot to do with that.
You guys are so funny. I just love your sams hauls. I know where Sarah gets her sense of humor.
Ty for sharing.
love the grocery haul and store tour🌷
You're both using Sarah's magic. Looking younger. Good job, love ya'll
Yes rotisserie chickens are the best and so cheap!!!
Yes always use scan & go and eat at their cafe!
You guys are so awesome love going with you shopping at Sam’s never had a rhubarb pie or a onion pie sounds delicious thank you Papa and Nana for always sharing and taking us along. God bless.❤❤
Look up the recipe for onion fritters or patties! Delicious and easy!

Onion pies are such a treat.
Cut top off Vidalia, shove in butter and Italian seasoning. Wrap in foil. Grill or oven. Best tip courtesy of Vidalia, GA
Sans peel
Sounds great!
I have never seen or tasted a Rhubarb pie. I hope you will make one on video in the future.
Love the Jazz music 🎵🎶

Do you have a favorite granola recipe?
Nana uses our daughter’s recipe on Out Tribe of Many.

@@thepapaskitchen Thanks so much 😊 This sounds good and easy, too.
Amazing fun shopping videos
Getting out of Sams for $200 is good work. Especially since you got shirts! We pick up clothing their often!❤

Ha....it's a pie made with onions!!!
Such a lovely couple😊❤. God bless for continued happiness, health, and success. 🎉
I heard you say $20. I was thinking I’m shopping at the wrong Sam’s. I love feta too!
Loving the cuteness, just like me and my hubby. 😊😊
Lemon Greek chicken with rice and detached. I use bone in thighs. I use my cast iron., fresh lemon juice and broth add rice, sit feta on top of that then thighs cover at first , broil at very end. I add fresh dill too. Sliced lemon on top too. So delicious.

Too bad you aren't in Sarasota Florida as Detwiler's Farm Market has fresh Rhubarb at their stores. Love your videos. 😊🥧🥧🥧
