Good idea, it's a good start. Except that you're holding it, and you don't need to. a.) pump up the mic sensitivity to about 60% of it's capacity. b.) put the boom on the end of flexor arm/base very similar to a flexing light arm that you'd see in a college dorm room. c.) doing those two things would allow your audio to be just out of shot as well as being able to freely arc or raise or lower the mic on the boom arm to keep the audio in a good spot. I do this with my own audio set up with my own channel (Emperor Max ASMR).
@@barefootango The mic level has been maxed out, and there was a 10 dB gain in post. That's how tiny their sounds are 😹😹 Thank you for the advice, still. There is always room for improvement 👍

I don't mind the mic in the video bc the sound quality is awesome and I usually watch to listen and fall asleep thanks for the awesome videos. I always fall asleep quickly to your videos💜

Do you like the new mic setup? 😸

I love your videos, but I do find the microphone visually distracting.
But thank you for sharing these videos!
@@luvthosebooks thanks!! Better sound vs. better visual, it’s tough to maintain the balance. I’ll keep exploring 😹

We should not see the microphone so much, it is distracting
shouldn’t you be focusing more on the sound than the video??
@@llskyroll6701 well, I think both are important
