    God...I LOVE this car!!!
I had a slot-car model (Monogram) of it in 1966/67 - wish I still had it today as they cost a fortune....if you can find one.
Current prize is a Carousel 1 model and I cherish that almost as much. :)
Fabulous to see that it has been fired up again. Superb!

(in a tone of alarm) Say! What's the deal with putting in Champion Spark Plugs on an engine that was originally equipped with Autolites?! As Autolites were the OEM plugs for Ford engines. The white Autolite decal can be spotted on the Lotus, as the circular decal with the black cross and red circle.
Of course, I understand, from a practical standpoint, that the mechanics doing this rebuild needed spark plugs that can handle a high-performance engine, and that's where Champion has a line of spark plugs that are built for that; as opposed to the current Autolites that are for passenger car use.

Huge offset in the suspension - must be interesting in right-handers.

It is THE Holy Grail of all racing cars.....JYS is the ideal man to drive it, but i would have liked Dan Gurney to sample the car also & you know, i think Dario Franchitti is now very worthy of a mention too......
