The reason that these high tech perms are more available in Asia is because in countries like Japan and Korea the population is 100 percent straight hair. Plus Asian hair is thicker and stronger so the R&D is targeted to that hair type. European hair cannot handle processing very well and the rest of us already have curls. Asian hair is so beautiful in its natural state, but with these soft body wave perms everyone can get the versatility they want.
Dante Velasquez I mostly agree with you but the main key is how much and thick cortex the client has . As long as a European client has thick cortex it will still work nice and neat .Additionally It sometimes doesn’t work for some asian clients as well , if the client has fine and just a little bit of cortex or no cortex. Hairstylist just need to analyze well by lots of experience and have to say no by cases.
Aaron Kim absolutely. I just meant to say that due to the strength and resiliency of Asian hair in general, and the fact that in countries like Japan and Korea everyone has straight hair, that companies are motivated to develop more modern and affective perming methods.
True about european hair, my hair is mixed fine and coarse and my fine hair is so fine it's barely visible, it makes picking a routine quite an adventure.

Did you know that a thermal perming method was created by a man back in the late 1800s? A man also invented the electric perm machine that looks exactly like this one kind of LOL and I think that was in the early 1900s. Nice to see some old history coming back!! Turned out really nice and full volume 👌

I salary it then add conditioner to the top and let it sit a good 5 minutes. Silly hair. Holy crappola. So happy to find something that works to help my frizzy hair

I love it! I’ve been a stylist for over 20 years, and a curls-master (self proclaimed). 😉 I was experimenting for years with the texture products available to us in the states, on a quest for a more modern approach to permanent waves. I’m so so happy that curls are making a comeback.

I love the husband for support. I hope you and your loved ones are all staying safe and happy during this whole thing! My husband is in the US and I'm in Canada so not being able to get to each other is scary but as they say this too shall pass!
