10 Items You Can Include in Your Ramadān Journal
1. Goals
Let’s start by first setting goals and using our Ramadān journals to track our progress. We first express our intention to do something pleasing to Allah, for instance, “This Ramadān I would like to memorize Surat Ar-Rahman to get closer to Allah and to recite it in my night prayers.” This can be your monthly goal which you can further break down into daily goals such as, memorizing two verses a day.
2. Goal Tracking
Journaling about our actions helps us see patterns, bad habits and so forth. Thus, at the end of the day, review your actions and check whether you achieved your goals or not. What is very important to note while goal tracking is why you did not accomplish your goal? Did you miss your goal out of laziness or were you distracted from it? Analyzing why a goal was not reached helps in coming up with strategies to achieve it in the future.
3. Repentance
Use this time of self-accountability to communicate with Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) and repent. Ask forgiveness for the wrong you are aware of and the wrong you did unintentionally. Supplicate and make du’a for Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’aala) to make it easier next time.
4. Du’a
In an authentic hadith, Prophet Muhammad (SalAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) is reported to have said:“There are three people whose supplications are not rejected: the fasting person when he breaks the fast, the just ruler and the supplication of the oppressed.”[Tirmidhi]
As per the above hadith, every day that we fast in Ramadān is a great opportunity of having our du’as answered. Thus, use your journal to write a list of all the du’as you would like to make this month and take each day to focus on a part of the list. You can also use that same list and intensify your du’as in the last ten days. Having a list of du’as will help you prioritize them.
5. Gems from Your Reading of the Qur’an
Ramadān is the month of the Qur’an. Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) says:“The month of Ramadān in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion….”{Surah Al Baqarah 2: Verse 185}
Qur’an should be our closest companion in Ramadān. While we read through the passages, we are bound to be deeply touched by some verses. Write them down in your journal and go over why these verses mean so much to you. You never know, your reflections could help someone else to relate to the Qur’an better. InSha’Allah, it could be a source of guidance for others if you decide to share your reflections later on.
6. Family ties
There is a lot of blessing in maintaining family ties. Make a list of relatives you would like to reach out and give salaams to. Every day, you could choose one person from your list, contact them and wish them well. You should also seek their forgiveness for any hurt, harm or distress you may have caused them.
7. Sadaqah
Brainstorm ways in which you can make more sadaqah in Ramadān. For instance, you can decide to vacuum the masjid everyday or empty the trash of the bathroom. Write down what sadaqah you can do daily and put your plan into action. In other words, jot down the necessary steps to make it happen, in-Sha’-Allah.
8. Something new
Utilize your journal to write down something new you learned that day, week or month.
9. Budget
Try to spend less on yourself and more on others. This could require some planning. Make use of your journal to budget your Ramadān expenses.
10. Implementation
The Sahabas used to strive to implement whatever they read from the Qur’an. In your journal, write down ways in which you can implement what you learned.
These are just some ideas to get you started. If you already keep a Ramadān journal, please share with us some of the items you journal about, so that we may all benefit inSha’Allah. The best part about keeping a journal is when you can go through it later and relive the spiritual journey you underwent during Ramadān. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala bless our Ramadān and help us be more productive this year than ever before. Ameen.
May allah give you jannah inchaallah

The butterfly effect is so logical because sometime an small action can be the biggest turn in someone life.
for example when i was in 8th grade my life took a big turn. My father once brought a book named ' zakir naik open questions '. After my annual exam that was vocation but i had nobody to visit in. I was bored. So for killing time i started to clean the dirt from every book. And that time THAT book caught my attention and i opened surprisingly started to read it. Within two days i finished that book. That 700 page book was the first book about Islam which i read.
Masha Allah
God bless you all.
Yes what you say is right
Thank you vary much
Ramadan kareem

5 Rights Of Quran On Believers
The book of Allah, the Holy Quran has rights on believers These 5 rights of the Quran are listed below;
1. To believe like it should be believed
2. To read as it demands reading
3. To understand as it should be understood
4. To act upon it like it demands action
5. To disseminate like it has the right to be disseminated ( to spread the massage of Quran)
1. To believe like it should be believed;
By definition belief means “to accept that something is true without any proof”. Merely reciting the Quran will not lead to believing it wholeheartedly. To understand and to act upon it demands utmost belief that it is Allah’s Speech. This level of belief will raise its significance in our lives.
“This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah” [Quran 2:2]
2. To Read as it Demands:
Recitation of the Quran demands effort. Basic etiquettes should be followed like doing Wudhu before reciting, sit at a silent place and in a proper manner. Moreover, recitation should be correct like the language of demands proper Tajweed and Makharij. Pronunciations and delivery of words of the Quran needs special emphasizes which most of the people take for granted and read in their own style. A proper schedule should be followed like any other important task of life is planned and executed at proper times. Portions of the Quran should be learned by heart. These Ayaats should be repeated daily during 5 prayers throughout the day. Learning of the Quran has immense rewards.
“Recite the Qur’ān, because it will come on the Day of Judgement and intercede for its people.” [Sahih Muslim]
3. To Understand:
Make it a source of guidance. To understand, translations are a good start. But the student of Quran should not stop there. True guidance can be gained when you understand its language because Quranic language is different and translation does not convey true essence.
“This is a blessed Book which We have revealed to you so that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded.” [Quran 38:29]
4. To Act Upon It As It Demands:
Part of belief comes from actions. When you actually believe in something or someone you would do anything as is being commanded. Quran has that same very basic right on you. When you claim to believe, it should not be mere by words. It should be proven by actions. Whatever you gain or understand which is relevant to you should become part of your life instantly.
“Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allāh and establish prayer and spend out of what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, can expect a trade that will never fail.” [Quran, 35:29]
5. To Disseminate Like It Has Right To Be Disseminated:
Your actions become the message of the Quran if they are in accordance with its teachings. What you learn from the Quran, it has the right on you to disseminate among your fellowmen. Ways of dissemination should be subtle and not in such a way that it hurts someone’s integrity or freedom to choose.
“And who is better in speech than he who [says: ‘My Lord is Allah (believes in His Oneness),’ and then stands firm (acts upon His Order), and] invites (men) to Allah’s (Islamic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds, and says: ‘I am one of the Muslims’” [Quran 41:33]
