Thank You Criminal Minds...One of the nicest songs to honor the victims of 9/11...I can't understand why its not popular...If the media got behind it she could become a star overnight.
Thank you for pointing out that this was for the victims of 9/11, I had no idea. I had first heard it on Criminal Minds. The lyrics to the song make much more sense now. I agree with you, I don't get why it's not popular.

Never heard this song until our 13-year-old nephew died accidentally in March 2015. This is the song his parents picked for his funeral. It has a place in my heart and memories.

Idk if it's cause I'm pregnant, but this lady's songs keep making me cry. I remember in the 4th grade when 9/11 happened. So many lives lost. So many people losing people they loved. Such a sad day. Changed the whole world. A giant of a nation fell to their knees. And the world fell with them.
I heard her voice on Criminal Minds...yet another reason I love this show. I saw her acting on Criminal Minds and loved the episode because of her portrayal in the show...not knowing was her singing any of these songs.She is a most amazing talent. And again do to her voice I missed the repesentation to 911. But of course now knowing this I am more than amazed by her pure talent and most grateful to have been blessed by her sharing her talent...heart...love...respect! with all of us. Thank- You Most Sincerely Lily Kershaw.

This song is so amazingly beautiful it hit my heart . My Brother Eli was found deceased around Skid Row in Los Angeles in his Apartment, we never got the real reason why he died , his ashes were sent to us and when they arrived we really couldn't figure out where to place his ashes. He was such a lovable, funny guy. But it helps me to know he is better where he is. no more pain, no more judgment towards him.
As with so many others, Criminal Minds brought me here. But this song speaks to my heart as my Dad left suddenly(suicide💔) and it's been so hard to deal with. Music has been one tool to help me with dealing with these emotions. Just need a good cry every once in awhile. RIP Erin Strauss and rest in paradise my Dad James Andrew Derry💙💙

What a deep evocative song. My mom died unexpectedly last year. I had my father's ashes shipped overnight so I could mix hers with his right after she was cremated. I live in California in the valley between 2 national forests. When all the snow melts I will take her to Kings National Park where the giant redwoods are. The ones you can drive a car through. I already have the permit. I will spread their ashes at the bottom of the largest redwood tree. They will be part of something that will live another 1000 years. I will remember this song on that day.

found this song because of criminal minds, but couldn't have come at a better time, just lost my grandmother unexpectantly on Oct 3rd, and this song just really hit home to me. It's also a really great tribute to those lost in 9/11 don't know why I never heard it then, it should have been more popular it really is a great song.
I think she's related to Glen Kershaw, who works on the show. She did one of the songs from last years finale. So good!

I can very easily see this being the reason. A very beautiful song with a very sad meaning to it. The kind of song one listens to when they just need to cry but just can't seem to bring the tears on.

This is at least the 2nd of her songs to make it on Criminal Minds. The last episode of the previous season featured As It Seems at the end during JJ’s wedding/Prentiss’s leaving. This one was more emotional for me, though.

September 08,2022 my Fur Baby Cha Cha Chanel, my Shoddy, passed away in my arms at the vet's. I had rushed her in, because she was breathing heavily, and she lifted her little head, and looked at me, then she laid down on my chest. I thought that she was napping, but she had crossed The Rainbow Bridge. I've been playing this song over and over, and I haven't stopped crying. RIP My Cha Cha Chanel, my Shoddy. What I love about Lilly Kershaw songs in Criminal Minds is the fact that both ending to seasons with her songs are so diffrent from one another. Season 7 and the song " As it seems" was a rather cheerful ending to that season but 8th season thanks to this song is much more bittersweet, tragic even and I absolutely adore it.

I lived close to the Pentagon and I could only see ashes falling that I knew were once very much loved people. And I prayed for them. I pray still.
