A great activity, these young dedicated kids will go far in life...with quick minds and execution...
Hi Mr. Tomas, you should try the meilong 3m or the rs3m2020, both are magnetic and cheap. I know you don't do speedcubing but having a magnetic cube and turning it can be quite a curious experience. All the best
Got the WRM V9 a few days ago, set it up with Angstrom gravitas and Dignitas, and DNM 37; very buttery smooth now, and some really insane corner cutting
Just got my Weilong V9 this week. Still getting used to the UV coating, but I love the cube so much I really don't care about the coating. I'm still fine tuning it. It's so ridiculously fast, even when tightened down to the max (which I want because the factory setup was a little floppy), I'll soon be putting some medium lube into the inner "feet". I've already lubed the spindles with Anstrom Gravitas. It's a fantastic cube, better than all my GAN's. If I had any complaints it's almost too magnetic, and it would have been nice to be able to dial it down to see if I really care about that, but I don't care that much so it doesn't matter. I will be buying at least one more of these.
BTW, a previous cubicle review said the V9 was particularly good at center moves, and I am not a fan of center moves. Well, this cube could make me more at home with center moves. 😁
I take it back. I managed to get the tensions perfect for my preferences, and I'll be sticking with light water-based lubes. I adore this cube. It's the best feeling cube I have.
Im a moyu guy from way back. The wrm maglev is also super awesome. Its my gOD cube. Love it. I get the feeling that it's possible quite similar to the V9. I would imagine that's why it's not listed here.
Honestly needed this video, I dropped cubing for about 2 to 3 years now and come back to literally hundreds of new releases. I didn't even know where to start, but thanks for explaining and giving recommendations Phil.
It’s a great cube. Mine arrived a few days ago, it feels a little weird during the initial 50-100 break in solves (very fast but also clunky) but after that it starts getting very satisfying, controllable and smooth.
@@Ashk_- I would say yes, but still this may come down to personal preference. I actually have the mag-lev ys3m (no BC) now and I like it’s feel more than the rs3m super BC, but it just lacks the stability of core mags so I actually ordered a core kit for it. The super is VERY very smooth and fast and feels incredible when your turns are precise. The issue I’ve had with it is that whilst it does have amazing corner cutting, the actual sensation of the corner cutting feels kind of slow and harsh; I’d compare it to trying to run really fast underwater. The other thing with it is it really doesn’t keep it’s cube shape as well as the ys3m. I have them both on reasonably loose tensions, but this is mainly because that stiff lockup corner cutting feel just got worse with the super, and the ys3m is just way more blocky and it’s looser settings are already quite tight by comparison. Both great cubes but the ys3m is more cohesive as the piece design extends further into the cube. It keeps a more stable cube shape while keeping great corner cutting, and feels very controllable while still being very fast. So yeah my pick is the ys3m but it comes down to wether you want a super soft, speedy but at times squishy and flexible feel (rs3m super) or a blocky, smooth, stable, cohesive and consistent feel (ys3m)
Little idea : since you aligned the cubes on the table the whole video, why not put a sticker/paper/tag in front of each cube with its name on it :) So we can follow more easily your explanations : cubes are always similar visually.
I tried these cubes and personally the best one to get is the rs3m ball core because it's cheap and the ys3m is just a more expensive version and the weilong v9 is to uncontrollable and corner twists
The Meilong M is also worth mentioning. Quite a bit lighter than the RS3, great turning, great value. The YS3 ball-UV is my main and I love it for the super smooth turning and stability, but my best AO5 is still on the Meilong
@@dontflyspirit6535 I couldn't comment on the gts3 since I haven't used it, but I really like the UV coating. It feels grippier than frosted finishes and has a premium look. Only downside is you can't remove the logo from a coated cube
My personal recommendation: Meilong 3M - RS3M 2020 - RS3M Super Standard - YS3M Ball core - YS3M Ball Core UV. Meilong 3C sucks, and it's super super worth it to find just 2 dollars more and get the magnetic version. RS3M Super Ball Core doesn't make sense in my opinion: it's less stable than the Standard, and is twice the price. I'd also be cautious of the WRM v9 if you don't like super strong magnets. I have the RS3M Super Standard and Ball Core, YS3M Ball Core and Ball Core UV, and WRM v9. Out of these, my favorites are RS3M Super Standard (for budget and as a travel cube) and YS3M Ball Core UV.
Great video overall, but I will say - I think including the Meilong 3C is kind of strange / unnecessary ; I don't really think there's any scenario that someone should be getting that over the RS3 M , the only reason would be the price but the RS3 M is essentially only a single Starbucks coffee more expensive than the 3C :P
Just got my Weilong V9 from the Cubicle on Friday! As a Gan man, I must say... I'm impressed and on the verge of replacing my Gan 12 main. It's amazing what difference 1mm can make though. If I could change one thing about the V9, I'd prefer 56mm or even 55.5mm. But I will say it's the best 55mm I've used (looking at you Tornado), and I'm already getting some very nice times.
Honestly idk about that super rs3m and rs3m 2020 is similar. I never bough a super rs3m but recently got rs3m 2021 maglev and this guy is way more faster than rs3m 2020.
For some reason, I ended up disliking the RS3M Super BC because it felt to loose to me. Something about the rounded edges on the center pieces doesn’t mesh with me.
Hello. I'm ordered a tornado v3, dnm-37, and a weipo 2x2 wrs, it tell me ,,if you spend 10 dollar, i've got free shipping, but I haven't got free shipping.

But if it's going to be a gift, them tornado v2 or v3 is the king there
YS3M and WRM v9 boxes shine on the outside, but the Tornado packaging is great inside. That red cardboard, yum :)
IMO the best Unboxing Experience might be the pre-lite WRMs.
And speaking of it, the WRMs were left out in this list. They got obsolete quite quickly.
