Why Did Juiced 2 End The Juiced Franchise?

- Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights is one my favorite racing games, but it did end the Juiced series. Today, I'll present my theory why Juiced 2 failed, even though it's still a very fun game.

Man, this video brings me so much memories... It's part of my childhood too, and I agree with what you say here.
The fact that they had the collaboration of HIN in this game could have been like the DUB magazine in Midnight Club 3 (or even bigger), but instead they exploited the sexualization of the models a lot and left behind the driving aspect.
Too bad because this game's good mechanics, car list and customization, and progression (and even the inclusion of a cockpit camera) are still unique in the genre to this day.
I loved racing for pinkslips risking to lose your car that you've put so much work into ..or possibly winning another car . Felt like such an achievement as a kid.
Then you figured out how easy drifting is. I bought one of the cheapest muscle cars and beat every pink slip drift with 0 upgrades. Juiced 1 however was scary to pink slip. Well I was WAY younger back then...losing a car there would've felt like life ruined.
The game did not kill the franchise.
Their publisher THQ went bankrupt and auctioned their assets. Juiced is still THQ's asset, but nobody showed interested in purchasing it.
Juiced 1 is my fav, however one problem is the physics. Some cars could spin out quite easily.
Juiced 2 career was pretty much long, longer than the time I spent Juiced 1 career, because all I did was just buy appropriate cars for each challenge from each crew member and raise their respect to 1K, simple as that. For pink slips, I maintain a class 5 car as a maximum level.
2:45 Eventually, NFS Heat & Unbound have this feature after many years since the franchise started.

Handling isn't really bad once you realize that in 60fps configurations the handling somewhat improved
