I can imagine a drunk person doing this: Drunk guy: Hold my beer, I can do this... **Proceeds to spazz on piano, randomly smashing, body slamming then falls over** XD
This really cool- great mix of complexity, theme, segue, & transition / juxtaposition. This is of the class of the best early baroque composers, and you simply do not get any better than that!
Contrary to popular belief, this is in fact Flandre's Theme, or U.N. Owen was her. Death Waltz was stuck on this theme due to the real Death Waltz being a impossible piece to play, and somehow some people started to name their videos of UN Owen was her Death Waltz.
@mtijger Bear in mind that "UN Owen Was Her" is an electronic piece and the samples can be programmed to play in sequence rather than being played live.
@TouhouPorn Hey, no problem. I just didn't do my research. Thanks for telling me. I really want to know what the real Death Waltz is now though. Anyway, this is a great video. What program is this again?
pesti könntest du mir dann die mp3-Datei dann an meine E-mail senden? oder mir erklären wie man die Midi-datei in eine mp3 Datei konvertiert bzw. welches Programm ich dafür brauche...naja einfacher wäre das versenden :'D
You HAVE to tell me how did you get your Synthesia to play every single note. My computer would only play the higher notes and when it gets to the hard parts it LAGS like CRAZY. Thx
@Lightcaster123 Death Waltz IS a particular song by John Stump and it is NOT this one. The genre he made popular was the so called "impossible music" for it being impossible to be played in a "correct" way. THIS song is a remix of "Flandre Scarlet's Theme" from the game "TouHou 6". It actually consists of several multi-instrumental MIDI files which IN THIS CASE got split up to several virtual "hands" which got layered to several octaves (fitting the original digital midi "instrument").
Notable info from the description translated for you and anyone who's interested: Video recorded with fraps. Audio, however, comes directly from the MIDI rendered and remastered to a MP3 because nearly every computer screws up the ending and misses notes.
@XxEnjeruxX Actually, the series is Touhou Project. The game is the first one in the series for Microsoft Windows (#6), and is called "The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil".
Death Waltz, is the orchestral version, of Flandre Scarlet's theme. I think Death Waltz takes around 12 people to play... SO, orchestral orginally. PLUS, Death Waltz WAS ALSO composed to run midi softwares at max, just like Circus Galop.
@TheTabbyKing Tell me, can you tell me exactly when this so-called "Death Waltz" was composed, and give an actual credible source? The song "U.N. Owen Was Her?!" first appeared in the game "Touhou: Embodiment of Scarlet Devil" back in 2002. If you have a date or year of composition for this song, and a credible source to back it up, I'll believe you. Otherwise, the song "Death Waltz" supposedly by John Stump, is nothing but a remix of a remix of "U.N. Owen Was Her?!" I'm waiting.
@kelvinrealpro yes, but it could be for more hands lol, 2, 3 or more people can play at the same time on the same piano... :) it's called "piano for 4 hands",:piano for six hands" etc.
@Darrin1997 the name of the song is not Death Waltz. the two songs have no relation to each other except for the fact that UN Owen was Her (this song) was confused with John Stump's Death Waltz. They actually sound nothing alike. John Stump wrote Death Waltz as a satirical joke and it actually involves more than just instruments (you need some cows and penguins also).
*Lays on piano* *Mom walks in* Mom: What are you doing?! Me: Playing the hardest song ever on the piano. *Mom snickers* Mom: Okay then. *I continue laying on the piano* *Mom walks away then bursts out laughing* *I just lay there as the piano continues to boom*
Wonder what this would sound like if you take each separate color part and assign it to a midi Orchestral instrument? That is all you are doing is individual music parts and showing them on piano keys in one lump music piece.
@TheTabbyKing I've done quite a bit of research and The ORIGINAL look closely ORIGINAL Faeries Aire and Death waltz sounds absolutely nothing like Owen was her. The video which was uploaded onto youtube claiming it was death waltz is really just a remix of Touhou's Owen was her. There's a live performance of Death waltz on youtube you can look it up and really listen to how its supposed to be. Anyways if you need read the sheet music ( If you can) and see the difference.
@wigglesza Given that an audio version of Death Waltz doesn't exist (to my knowledge) I tend to give a little bit of credit to people tricked by the videos making the claim of being Death Waltz. The true people to blame are the posters of those videos.
@V0idslime no, its the piano version of the remix of the video game music, search 東方 [Piano] U.N Owen Was Her ? (COOL&CREATE) for teh piano version and U.N.Owen was her by COOL&CREATE for the non piano version
@Sparkz1607 yeah but think of how hard it would be to 1) press all of those notes that rapidly and 2) actually perfectly synchronize all of those rapidly pressed notes. I find it very, very doubtful that it can be done live.
@LawOfSynergy After rewatching Circus Gallop, I am now inclined to withdraw my previous comment. Wait a group of people actually pulled off Circus Gallop live?
@WaveOfSilenceMedia no its not. the easyest proof: Waltz has ha 3/4 beat. This 4/4. This sitll is a remix of "U.N. Owen was her?" aka flandre scarlet's theme, from Touhou 6 (Koumakyou) ~ the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. Extra Stage boss, get there and check yourself lol
@KairiandSora2728 They sound like each other by coincidence. They're completely different songs composed by different people in different countries. :)
This song is a piano version of the song "Final Savage Sister Flandre S" by "COOL&CREATE." "Final Savage Sister Flandre S" is a remix of the song "U.N. Owen Was Her?" by "ZUN." "Death Waltz" is a supposedly unplayable song by "John Stump," which does not song like music at all.
For those that havn't played the game... around 2:10 is when cute little Flandre decides play time is over and kills you with her maze of love spell card.
@Redalertnoobie well, but zun himself stated once that remilia theme is a remix of beethoven virus, the song itself was used in a movie, and the song of the movie were uploaded after remilia to be uploaded,i just think that flandre theme is a remix of faerie aerie which is not this song, because this song is a remix of flandre theme, not aerie.
yeah its a nice game...i have it...returning to the theme thanks for the info but really i've been searching on the web the *real death waltz* and i still not finding it...but thanks to you i think my doubt has gone.
is TheBestTouhou flagging these videos because everyone is copying his idea and stealing his video, and claiming it as their own? I know I tend to flag things, but I don't flag music. I really wanted to hear the original on youtube on synthesia.
@pesti911 hmm, aliasing is distortion due to a less-than-optimal resolution, something that does not regard color. anti-aliasing is the process used to reduce that distortion. regardless of whether or not i am correct (i am), two pixels of different shades of red do not equate to one and a half pixels! i'm not sure why your comment received so many likes; it appears that the uploader gets the benefit of the doubt when others have no familiarity with the topic
I wish people would stop getting confused between 'death waltz' and Flandre's theme...
+Ginja Jaffa Me too.
I got it mixed up I'm so glad I figured it out xD
dumbass
I can imagine a drunk person doing this:
Drunk guy: Hold my beer, I can do this...
**Proceeds to spazz on piano, randomly smashing, body slamming then falls over**
XD
ZUN.
This is the music I'd use to described myself when I'm not on my meds
Take yo pills boi.
This is probably the best quality video of this music that I've ever seen.
This really cool- great mix of complexity, theme, segue, & transition / juxtaposition.
This is of the class of the best early baroque composers, and you simply do not get any better than that!
*Messes up the first three notes of the song* Fuck this shit! I'm gonna play the saxophone.
Only someone with six arms could play that D:
kamaji could do that :O
This is the Death Waltz, not Flandre's theme.
Contrary to popular belief, this is in fact Flandre's Theme, or U.N. Owen was her. Death Waltz was stuck on this theme due to the real Death Waltz being a impossible piece to play, and somehow some people started to name their videos of UN Owen was her Death Waltz.
StarFox Wu You're right about the name, but the people who found this sheet didn't know shit about Touhou so they called it "Death Waltz".
actually, you are all sort of wrong. This is a "remix" of Flandre's theme (but only uses the "chorus"), but not her actual theme. just Sayain.
StarFox Wu Technically, this is a MIDI version of the COOL&CREATE remix, Last Brutal Sister Flandre S, and not U.N. Owen Was Her?.
Lol, death waltz is a composition that wasn't even made to be played in the first place.
i didn't breathe for the whole 3 minutes and 35 seconds! this piece is breathtaking!
there's something I love about this song, so sinister... i feel like ive heard this song before but this is my first time hearing it O_o
Chuck Norris plays that
***** u mean eyebrow's eyebrow
***** No, with his existence.
***** How dare you down-grade Norris' abilities.
***** lol no
***** I simply just use it as a joke. I though it was a bit funny, but now it (like you said) is getting old.
God's playing piano ._.
@mtijger Bear in mind that "UN Owen Was Her" is an electronic piece and the samples can be programmed to play in sequence rather than being played live.
@Animefreak976431 not really death waltz IS "u.n. owen was her?" alias flandre theme
@pesti911 How you can came with those winner combacks?
anyway, can you make a extended version using both parts of the song.
The guy who taps that blue note every beat is a fucking hero. THE CONTROL.
@TouhouPorn Hey, no problem. I just didn't do my research. Thanks for telling me. I really want to know what the real Death Waltz is now though. Anyway, this is a great video. What program is this again?
Nothing's impossible if you have enough friends and good video editing programs! XD
pesti könntest du mir dann die mp3-Datei dann an meine E-mail senden? oder mir erklären wie man die Midi-datei in eine mp3 Datei konvertiert bzw. welches Programm ich dafür brauche...naja einfacher wäre das versenden :'D
"Lament of the Introspective Turnbuckle" ?!?!??! Im confused
This will probably sound really weird, but my favorite part of this is the calm ending after all the insanity that is so befitting Flandre Scarlet.
You HAVE to tell me how did you get your Synthesia to play every single note. My computer would only play the higher notes and when it gets to the hard parts it LAGS like CRAZY. Thx
Good god i love this sound! complex buy pretty melodic as well- excellent segues
@Lightcaster123 Death Waltz IS a particular song by John Stump and it is NOT this one.

@TouhouPorn Well,if Flandre theme isnt based on the original death waltz, then is based on what?
Notable info from the description translated for you and anyone who's interested:
Video recorded with fraps. Audio, however, comes directly from the MIDI rendered and remastered to a MP3 because nearly every computer screws up the ending and misses notes.
Amazing...simply amazing !!
This song has magical powers. When I'm listening to this song, I succeed in the activity I'm doing while listening. O.O
@XxEnjeruxX Actually, the series is Touhou Project. The game is the first one in the series for Microsoft Windows (#6), and is called "The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil".
i play this and i am sure to go crazy! But hats of to the one who has palyed this!!
hey, tell me where you downloaded this i wanna get it so i can fail horribly, im serious bro whats the link?
@briandarandom98 dafuq do u play yellow with?! O:
@pikachu777FTW its multi person song, every pianoman takes one color,i take blue which one you take?
Death Waltz, is the orchestral version, of Flandre Scarlet's theme. I think Death Waltz takes around 12 people to play... SO, orchestral orginally. PLUS, Death Waltz WAS ALSO composed to run midi softwares at max, just like Circus Galop.

@pesti911 im glad you gave credit where credit is due in the title.
Step 1: sit down
Step 2: raise hands in the air
Step 3: hit your head on the piano to play this
Und wie viele Finger / Hände braucht man um das zu spielen ???
The colors are so pretty :3
@zhotonz The "Death Waltz" you watched isn't Death Waltz at all. asterx34jr explains it in the comment right above yours...
Someone who knows that it's from TouHou
@V0idslime yes it is. To be more precise, it is a variation on "U.N. Owen was her?" by ZuN.
@kelvinrealpro yes, but it could be for more hands lol, 2, 3 or more people can play at the same time on the same piano... :) it's called "piano for 4 hands",:piano for six hands" etc.
Are those supposed to be notes or is Flandre shooting at the piano again?
Chuck Norris merely has to look in the general direction of a piano to cause it to play this out of sheer terror.
this, my friend, is what skittles sound like
@Darrin1997 the name of the song is not Death Waltz. the two songs have no relation to each other except for the fact that UN Owen was Her (this song) was confused with John Stump's Death Waltz. They actually sound nothing alike. John Stump wrote Death Waltz as a satirical joke and it actually involves more than just instruments (you need some cows and penguins also).
The MIDI download doesn't work. Is there another place where you can get this one?
RUclips to MP3 it bro.
Benjamin Sherman naw, MP3 won't work for what I need. I need the MIDI file so I can make some edits.
Try again. I fixed the download. Don't know why it was offline in the first place.
Pesti von nurKRAM.de awesome. Thanks. I wanted to use this as a piece of music for stress testing a player piano, thanks!
*Lays on piano*
*Mom walks in*
Mom: What are you doing?!
Me: Playing the hardest song ever on the piano.
*Mom snickers*
Mom: Okay then.
*I continue laying on the piano*
*Mom walks away then bursts out laughing*
*I just lay there as the piano continues to boom*
Wonder what this would sound like if you take each separate color part and assign it to a midi Orchestral instrument? That is all you are doing is individual music parts and showing them on piano keys in one lump music piece.
@DJYelnatz actually the death waltz is flandre's theme with a few minor changes
@misabikoproduction
What I am trying to say is that the name of this piano remix is Death Waltz. Sorry if I didn't make that clear...
Did your synthesia break or something afterwards? Damn alot of notes
I like this song but who is flandra scarlet and ive heard that this song is also called deaf walts ???
...wow im at a lost for words.. amazing!!
Flan? Caen you give me you spell card: taboo~four of a kind so I can play your Theme on the piano?
Apology I can give the link to download that program? *3*
I have a question. What scale is this played in?
@TheTabbyKing I've done quite a bit of research and The ORIGINAL look closely ORIGINAL Faeries Aire and Death waltz sounds absolutely nothing like Owen was her. this song has so much.... POWER!
@wigglesza Given that an audio version of Death Waltz doesn't exist (to my knowledge) I tend to give a little bit of credit to people tricked by the videos making the claim of being Death Waltz. The true people to blame are the posters of those videos.
My band teacher has "Lament of the Introspective Turnbuckle" on the wall.... and I'm not sure if this is it.... but this is still cool.
@V0idslime no, its the piano version of the remix of the video game music, search 東方 [Piano] U.N Owen Was Her ? (COOL&CREATE) for teh piano version and U.N.Owen was her by COOL&CREATE for the non piano version
Colorful , just like flandre . :D
ich kann mir nicht helfen aber ich find das lied einfach nur geil xD
@Chiriri123 and im guessing all the money will either go to
-the doctors ?
OR
-therapy ?
@Sparkz1607 yeah but think of how hard it would be to 1) press all of those notes that rapidly and 2) actually perfectly synchronize all of those rapidly pressed notes.
I find it very, very doubtful that it can be done live.
@bugaboo2015 It is not humanly possible, it is designed for an Orchestra OR a pianola to test it's capability.
No its "Flandre Scarlet's theme" or "U.N. owen was her". The title and the pesti are correct.
A boss from the Touhou series.
@LawOfSynergy After rewatching Circus Gallop, I am now inclined to withdraw my previous comment.
Wait a group of people actually pulled off Circus Gallop live?
I thank my octopus parents for teaching me this song! Thabks guys :D
@WaveOfSilenceMedia no its not.

Pianist at 3:08--"I've had enough of this shit. Let me just lay down for a moment."
This song is a piano version of the song "Final Savage Sister Flandre S" by "COOL&CREATE."
"Final Savage Sister Flandre S" is a remix of the song "U.N. Owen Was Her?" by "ZUN."
"Death Waltz" is a supposedly unplayable song by "John Stump," which does not song like music at all.
For those that havn't played the game... around 2:10 is when cute little Flandre decides play time is over and kills you with her maze of love spell card.
@UTAUtarded No. For some reason this sped up version of "U.N. Owen Was Her?" is often mistakenly labeled as John Stump's "Death Waltz".

@TheTabbyKing to the "you know nothing"
Death waltz is, just as it name says, a waltz
tell me how meny beats does a waltz have?
hu?
noticed?
boon
You could have disputed the claim. Chances are he wouldn't have been able to reafirm the claim, since he didn't actually press suit.
To prove that you’re a Touhou fan, the six colors represent what character?
I'm really confused why this some is sometimes titled, "Faerie's Aire and Death March" -- that's an entirely different thing.
@pesti911
hmm, aliasing is distortion due to a less-than-optimal resolution, something that does not regard color. anti-aliasing is the process used to reduce that distortion. regardless of whether or not i am correct (i am), two pixels of different shades of red do not equate to one and a half pixels! i'm not sure why your comment received so many likes; it appears that the uploader gets the benefit of the doubt when others have no familiarity with the topic
I looked at the wall right after i watched this. WHY THE HELL IS THE WALL MOVING CLOSER?! XD Very nice though. Good Job.
SO MANY COLORS. O_O
YAY!! I Finally found a use for my third hand :D
how many hands does it need to play this?
@iDesireMae The song is an octect meaning 8 people are supposed to play it though still it is extremely difficult its possible
@NeoTomoyakun
I don't get it... What are you trying to say?
What a colorful song! ;)
@avishk13 i think each color is a different person-- i counted six. but they'd have to be having a seizure to hit the keys that fast
vielen Dank für die Mühen
And i thought that Flandre was deadly enough (°^°). . .This main theme shows how deadly she really is my friends
My childhood flashed before my eyes
@Nishashi1 Nah I heard the real death waltz. This version of flandre scarlet is called vs. UN Owen was her or something like that.
