No it wont! I’ll give it two years before you’re reading about the problems with the electronic gadgets, the build quality etc! As a long time owner of Mercs all I have seen is the marque declining in quality!

S-class facelift will likely get the new headlights and interior just with the addition of executive rear seats and longer wheelbase instead of the bench in the E-class. Probably on its way, until then the E will soak up the spotlight
The limo version that will inevitably be introduced in China would definitely be a S class killer.

Unreliable?
Not really. If you look closer, most of the parts under the hood are made out of plastic. Before, it used to be all metal. They cheapened out on the hardware, hoping you fall for the gimmicky lights and tech.

@@mathisnotforthefaintofheart Really? I have owned all German brands for 10+ years. The only one that has been consistently reliable is Mercedes-Benz, with only routine maintenance. The worst of the bunch, by far, has been Audi, with BMW a close second.

The E-class has always been M-B's statement piece. I once owned an 'S' and two SL's, but the E has always intrigued me the most.
This is some high end luxury! And im in love with the new taillights 😍 but I do miss looking at some exhaust :(

It's a 4 cylinder hybrid and not an AMG. Car sounds are depleting to save the planet. It sucks in the short run, but will be better in the long run.

Mostly made of cheap aluminum, even it's engine block. Doesn't last more than 5 years.
Even as a Lexus fanboy, I have always been in awe of Mercedes luxurious interiors and general aesthetics. If I had a lot of money to not care about reliability, I would be on it in a heartbeat.
I think these would be good for leasing for a while, I don't see any real value in owning one of these cars.

My 2013 Merc E350 Luxury Edition has been a dream car. One very minor recall (a 5-minute bolt replacement), a couple of tune-ups and batteries, plus new tires. Previously, I’ve driven Pontiac, Ford, and Audi. (The Audi repair service was a joke.) I keep my car garaged, and never skip a scheduled maintenance check-up. My only complaint is that the Diamond Silver color looks blue to me. Only a handful of people have said they liked the silver color.
over my lifetime I've leased 7 Mercedes Benz vehicles, and not one has ever had an issue.
@@undinescurse yes, that's how leasing a vehicle works. you often end up with less problems because you don't own the car for it's entire lifetime.

E class has now fully morphed into the S class
Well, I have a S-Class and I say: Yeah, it's nice, but the engine still sucks. And it looks like there is little space in the fonds. It was a mistake to kill the V8 in the E-Class. Each E500 with a 4.7 will punish this thing. And it has likely more space inside. The differences are huge between the W212 and the W213 even, the W213 sucked. Looks like a C-Class and is so small, only men with 1,70 meters can enter the fonds.

And thinking that the youtubers (car reviewers) have praising new 5 series design rather new E-class, and that happens to the higher segment too: 7 series rather s-class. I can't cope this! Mercedes have been perfection.
