      Is that relative, ultimate or absolute? Can you prove it?

    This is one of the best explanations I've heard on the topic, which is also discussed in classical Indian Nyāya, Vyākaraṇa, and Vedānta. Also, I love the 'Materialist, Abrahamic-residual Buddhists' designation: not a pejorative, but a recognition of the fact that many people who have English/Western Language educations (and those educations not in Western Languages but who depend on translated western curriculums only) are inherently taught in binaries, and that to learn Buddha Dharma (or any of the other Dharmas), one has to have the intellectual humility to add the Dharmic frameworks alongside on their own terms.

      This is also why I found his way of explanation based on different cultural backgrounds and perspectives worth listening to.

      All these later schools of India belong to a time after the Buddha and Nagarjuna.

    ❤the four criteria often mentioned in relation to "pragmatic truth" or "pragmatic validity." These criteria are:
    ❤Consensus
    ❤Utility (Usefulness)
    ❤Cause and Condition
    ❤Falsifiability
    "Falsifiability" means that a claim or theory can be tested and potentially proven false.

    Saddharma Pundarika Sutra (妙法莲华经) * The Buddha did explain clearly why his teachings has to start from the four noble truths in India for the human realm.

      Amazing, amazing. I love his videos. Your holiness don't you want to know and see where the first Tibetan Sangaram was opened solely for foreigners. This is north of Patna on the northern banks of the Ganges. Xuan Zangs lovely book led me to the Sangaram. According to him three Sramanas from across the SNOWY MOUNTAINS (From the area around 'Taro Co' lake in northern Tibet) crossed over to India on a pilgrimage to holy Buddhist sites. Indians fail to understand who they are and no one gives them food and shelter and sometimes beat them up. They were lying by the side of the road dying when the King rode up. He inquired about them and when they told him their story, the King realised a Sangaram was needed for foreigners only where Indians won't be allowed. So this can be regarded as the first Tibetan Sangaram in India. Those days Indians had pierced ears because they wore ear rings. Foreigners had unpierced ears so this Sangaram was for unpierced ears. Those days Indians didn't know about Tibet so this Sangaram was for unpierced years, meaning foreigners. Today that Sangaram is a village and that King is the local village deity. This story proves that Buddhism went to Tibet prior to Xuan Zangs epic journey to India. So Tibetans will have to study how and when Buddhism went to Tibet. Because Xuan Zang seems to infer that Buddhism went to Tibet much earlier than what the great masters claim today. I have made a video on this topic titled, ‘First Tibetan Sangaram in ancient India.’

    ☸🕉Rinpoche my understanding of the Mahayana makes reincarnation very simple in that since this life is like a dream, we can have another dream of another life, and another and another and another. Some people call that reincarnation. What do you think about this simplification?🕉☸

    • @zachrice6907
      @zachrice6907 Год назад +2

      good simplification. you should remember that each rebirth or reincarnation for ordinary beings is conditioned by deeds that were done in that life and in former lives. at the time of death there arises a rebirth-linking consciousness based on the individual's karma, either predominantly good or predominantly negative, and this consciousness can either be of a positive or negative bent. this will affect where that next "dream" occurs!

    • @NickEinstein
      @NickEinstein Год назад

      I think having dreams of being another person is different from taking rebirth, which is also dreamlike.
      All of our experience is dreamlike…

    • @NickEinstein

      And the purpose of Dharma is to wake up from the dream.

      or it's like respawning in a videogame
      You lose your inventory, but get to keep the xp! Lmao
      They don't call it a simulation for nothing... We act based on our programming and reality also behaves according to the "source code".
      You do main story line and side quests, to get loot, better gear and to "level up your character"
      It's literally a game.
      Lmao

    Functionality is the word he was looking for as the second point of conventional truth,after common consensus I think. Better than the term “purpose”. A conventional object must be able to perform a function.

    maybe relative truth is the problem? Because it contains dualism.! Maybe reli relative truth isn’t true! Because it contains the eight worldly Dharmas?
    And maybe ultimate truth is the truth !
    When you say it has problems because relative truth is causing them !😮
    if you put them together and they are relative, maybe you just use what is useful and accept what is not when I say accept ignore what is not . I understand your problem. It is everybody’s and that is the truth itself ultimately!

    • @connect1affect711
      @connect1affect711 Месяц назад

      "Relative truth is the problem" is the problem, because "because it contains dualism" contains dualism. Absolute truth is not other than relative truth, nor is it the same, nor both nor neither.
