Taking nothing away from Bairstow & Overton, both played absolutely brilliant and rescued their team BUT the highlight which I enjoyed the most was Boult's fiery spell towards the start of the English Innings. If he's a bowling all rounder then how well he has batted till now. His batting was majestic, confident and his footwork excellent. He wasn't perturbed by the fact that England had already lost six wickets and only the tail to follow. He played as if this is his hundredth test. I mean he will get better and better if given more opportunities and with a specific job. That's for sure.

Stokes played one stroke too many there, aggression is fine, aerial route is not. As a captain he should have put a price on his wicket. Fortunate that Bairstow didn't mistime one. If this way a series of tests I’d say India but it’s a one off test to conclude last years tests. By surprise this has turned into one of the best series of all time. I’m not by any means saying that either team is among the greats but you can’t knock the quality of attack/counter attack cricket. Every game has been truly memorable with some fantastic performances from numerous players: with Mitchell, Blundel, Boult, Root, Bairstow and Stokes all worth a salutation in particular.

Stokes played one stroke too many there, aggression is fine, aerial route is not. As a captain he should have put a price on his wicket. Fortunate that Bairstow didn't mistime one. It's an example of how intent to score, can pull you out from tough situations. Great support from Overton. Great cricket overall!
