Welcome to Ice Rink Diaries. This will be a four part series covering skate sharpening. In this episode I will cover the basics of the skate sharpener, skate positioner , edges, and skate sharpening accessories. Part two will cover figure skates. Part three we will sharpen a pair of hockey skates. Finally in part four we will go over Flat Bottom Design offered by Blademaster as well as custom radius.

Go easy on dressing the wheel. You don’t need to take a 1/8” of wheel material off each time you dress it.
