    What is Friction?
Friction is a force that is applied between two surfaces in contact which always opposes the relative motion of the object.
The force of friction always applies in the opposite direction of movement.
    Types of friction
    Static Friction:
Static friction is the friction that exists between two or more objects that are not moving relative to one another.
Example: A static ball on ground.
    Dynamic Friction:
Dynamic friction is the friction that acts between two objects which are moving in relation to each other.
Example, it is the force that makes pushing a heavy box.
    Sliding Friction:
When a surface slides over another surface, the resistance to its motion is called sliding friction.
For example: A boy sliding down a slide is an example of sliding friction
    Rolling Friction:
When a surface rolls over another surface, the resistance to its motion is called rolling friction. Rolling friction is smaller than sliding friction.
It is always easier to roll anything over the ground than to slide.
Example: A boy moving a heavy box fitted with wheels.
    FLUID FRICTION:
Fluids also offer friction. The friction of fluid increases with the speed of object moving through it, and speed of fluid.
Object which are made to move in fluid are made streamlined to reduce friction offered by fluid.
Example: Ship, boat and fish moving in water.
