However, tourism is still one of the biggest contributors to Italy's GDP. The tourism industry directly generates almost 6% of Italy's GDP. And if you take into account the indirect earnings from tourism, the percentage rises to 13%. Italy cannot do without tourists. However, tourism should definitely be more regulated. Have a nice day!
