My favs are both 5v5 modes, brawl ball and gem grab. (5v5 are super fun I love the extra people it feels way more chaotic and the back and fourth is better..)
Hot take, but Brawl Ball is one of my least favorite gamemodes.

Reason while people like knock out is its a veryfast mode and can be done with at max 50 seconds and you will not feel as bad for losing unlike for example brawl ball where you spent the whole time stressing and then some random mortis will make a trickshot at the last second and stealing the win(all gamemodes in brawl stars is very good but the quickest one is knock out)

Solo Showdown = You have no friends to play with, and have anxiety of getting bad randumbs or worse: Being the bad randumb.

It's the quickest way to grind trophies and, unlike duos, you don't have to rely on unfair pairing. Plus it is an OG option. But that's me🤷

Duels are based but the main problem are lower amount of trophies than other modes.

I'm solo showdown player, I dont team until r28 because almost everyone in r25+ is teaming and most of the time if you dont team you'll lose alot of trophies

Gem grab is THE game mode. It's what brawl stars is for. The only issue is long matches, but I don't really care. Great mode, definitely my favourite. The dramatic moments from countdowns are insane. And the feeling of taking gems away from enemies when they're on countdown... Beautiful. It's also greatly balanced so there's no insanely overpowered brawlers to face.
Kit+Draco+any healer other than that gem grab is good

Everyone is NOT equal in drum roll because i have 20k trophies i face 50k+ trophy players and get absolutely destroyed almost every game
