Very beautiful buckskin. Seamed really gentle until Henson saddled her wow she can Buck . Looking forward for more of Henson working with her just luv watching him training young horses.

Boy oh boy, I don't think I've ever seen Henson break in such a mare that had such an attitude. She did NOT like that saddle. But she's a thinker too. I expect good things from her.

So peaceful. No dogs barking, no kids screaming, no handler screaming! I've seen some horrific videos lately but it's always wonderful to watch peaceful handling and being gentle to let the horse figure it out

Since you have other horses of this breeder, you must have felt confident in buying one sight unseen. They did you justice, this mare is built and she doesn't seem flighty. Going by her papers, she has very good breeding lineage. Looking at her in this video she seems willing and she seems to be thinking about what's going on. I think she is going to be one heck of a broodmare. I think Henson has different ideas on broodmare stock. He might have different requirements for his broodmare band than maybe Jerry has. I'm sure they have very good discussions regarding horses in general.
Treasure State is a cattle ranch near the Montana-Canadian border. Big pastures for the mares and foals to run around in, challenging terrain, lots of things going on so they grow up calm and sturdy.
You could take any of their foals sight unseen and have a good horse.

@PaintedDesertRanch I did not realize that! No wonder I like them! Sadie's 2 are opposites...1 quiet/fast and athletic (Dakota) and 1 (Chester) eager/ fast but so strong in his turns I do not know how she stays on him! He is like riding a rocket!

I just use those cheap $5 hoof picks, Henson has a pocket knife that is a hoof pick too… I can’t remember the brand

why did Hensen use the rope & flag after she seemed to be taking the saddle so easliy? Or was there an exended time after freedom with saddle that the audience missed after which Hensen decided to "whip it up"? Is that a control exercise?

How long did that one training session take, Danielle, to get her where she's at now?
That was about 40 minutes from start to finish. Haltering babies this past week didn't leave Henson any time to ride her again, but he has hauled her around saddled around the ranch and that does wonders too.
