Imo Darwin is the perfect example of why we shouldn’t only look at stats, and maybe sometime ignore them completely. The same thing with f.ex. Chilwell in the beginning of the season. There are numerous other examples. Many players have stats which make them look much better than they really are and the opposite is of course also the case. The terms over- and underperforming is often used, but when a player is constantly over/underperforming isn’t he just showing his “true colors”? You also have a these players who clearly have the ability to perform quite well, but they are almost never fit. After they haul in one match we all bring in him into our teams like the sheep that we are. Yes stats are valuable but we also need to consider what the player actually is doing, not that he looks really good on a he pitch or plays very well, but that he actually is getting those FPL points match after match. I also truly believe that we way too often trust poor players to bring in more points and than likely just because he has double gameweek. A really good player with a single gameweek will often outperform the dws , but we keep ignoring them anyway. Again - a bunch of sheep.
I completely agree that stats do not paint the entire picture. Finishing ability, fitness, xMins, fixtures etc are all very important too, which hopefully comes up in my discussions :) I don't think for any player you should completely ignore stats though, that's the only bit I disagree on!
You hit the nail on the head I was discussing yesterday. So much mins risk as players are returning too and swing in performance this double is going to be unpredictable
Hey Ross. Just wanted to say thanks for all the work you do for FPL tips. I'm currently part of the last 32 players in the FPL cup, and your videos have helped a lot. I live in the US, but if I win the cup, I'm planning on going to England during a fpl meet-up and hanging out with other FPL fanatics.
really love all the tables and variables used (xGI over season/last 6 etc.) and just stuff that I like to look out for when considering players myself also like the new segment for the market odds btw, u should keep that in your videos, since their numbers are backed by a 3rd party algorithm insightful stuff! 🩵
Some of the popular players from Luton and Bournmouth did outscore a lot of good single week players though. Morris, Semenyo, Chong, Zabarnyi, Kaminski. Solanke was very unfortunate to miss the penalty in 28 but even with that he had 8 points when Haaland and Watkins both had 2 points. I think someone from Sheffield United will outscore attackers from Arsenal and Liverpool this weekend but it’s hard to know which ones
As the tables rank players by xgi for the season, I think it would be great to have a separate table featuring some players who make the list if ranked by xgi for the last 6 games. Just to see who makes the cut based on current form. But I appreciate the video!
Great breakdown of the stats. Thanks. I'm on FH too and struggling to choose forwards. I think I only want 2. Solanke is in and then it's a toss up between Haaland and Cunha. In in the top 500 in the world so not sure whether I should play safe with Haaland...
Awesome Content!! Love the Stats! However you did say go with your heart & for me Cunha home against a wounded Arsenal & playing Bournemouth… has a much Higher ceiling than Darwin? When was the last Time Darwin hauled? & now his minutes threatened by Jota’s return… I’m leaning to a Solanke,Mateta& Cunha front 3 😅
what about mac allister as an option? with all the doubts over who will start both and get the most minutes etc he has to be the 2nd most nailed liverpool mid/fwd after salah?
I'm also doing Son ➡️ eze but then torn on my second transfer. Do I do Hwang ➡️ Diaz and play zabarnyi? Or bring in a liverpool defender over Zabarnyi and play Hwang?
Another well-reasoned video with plenty of food for thought 👍 I'm having to go without Salah this week, so it's gonna be a nervy one! Can't justify another hit to transfer out Diaz, and it allows me to also get Havertz/Jota and TAA/Robertson, rather than Olise and Andersen (already have Eze). *Prays*
Haalands potential knock has just ended my bb34 ... I was so set on it as well and now can't risk it kelleher ,sit nouri, branthwaite haaland n son not playing 😫 Would you risk ait nouri and haaland? The transfers I was going to do were kelleher to Henderson Son to havertz Branthwaite to senesi
I was struggling to decide between bringing in Diaz or Eze this week.... after watching this I am leaning more towards Diaz. Hopefully he gets 2 starts 🤞
Another great video Ross good man 👍💯 To answer your question Cunha ahead of Mateta all day long, that's the easy one. The REAL fh34 questions seem to be Trent or Darwin for 3rd Liverpool spot, and play Brereton Diaz or McBurnie? Clearly have both in your draft...but who to start??
I predict Gomez starts RB tonight at Atalanta and Trent will come on around the 60th depending on the score. Then if there's no extra time I predict Trent starting on the weekend and probably coming off around 70 minutes.
If you need the FH this week, FH34, WC35, BB37. If you don't need the FH this week and can BB, BB34, WC35, FH37. If you don't need the FH but also cannot BB, WC35, BB37, FH38. Hopefully that helps!
That's great, thanks for the reply, it does help, along with the data and other thoughts you give provides a base for my decision making. Keep up the great work, much appreciated 👏 👍
Great video Ross! I think Klopp is going to rotate all of Liverpool's forwards (apart from Salah) between the two games. Salah is the only one guaranteed to get two 90 min games.
Klopp is not blind, he can see that Salah is in poor form. The times when he was undroppable are long gone. If he plays 90 against Atalanta, he will be benched in one of the games.
Really don’t understand the view point that stats are less important for a one week punt. Yes, there is going to be more variability and random players will do well, but picking the players with the best stats/fixtures for the specific week is going to give you a better chance than picking random players on gut feelings
Thanks again Ross you legend, one question I was gonna ask is what option would you pick on FH Option 1: Neto and Olise Option 2: Henderson and Brereton Diaz
@FPLRaptor The 100 point question😅. But amongst the 'punts' , who will? With Havertz having played a lot of minutes recently, and martinelli being rotated in and out, Trossard can play in both positions and has not had too many minutes in positions that Arteta is willing to rotate
Arsenal have achieved their xB of 2 for the season (expected bottle of the Champions League and Premier League)
😂😂😂

@@FPLRaptor yeah I wouldn’t ignore stats completely either. And this is where your analysis is still appreciated Mr Raptor 👍🏼
@@FPLRaptor For the record I did say "maybe" :-)

THANKS FOR ADDING PEEMANENT TRANSFER COLUMN
You're welcome!
That whole segment was brilliant. Appreciate you doing the data crunching so we don’t have to Ross!

Awesome thank you mate!

insightful stuff! 🩵
You should also add that Market odds are the brightest there are arguably. Its very sharp and competive market and the lines do move via that
Been waiting for this one!
I hope it didn't disappoint!
You must remember Brereton Diaz still plays for Sheffield United...remember when everyone jumped on Luton and Bournemouth...?
Some of the popular players from Luton and Bournmouth did outscore a lot of good single week players though. Morris, Semenyo, Chong, Zabarnyi, Kaminski. Solanke was very unfortunate to miss the penalty in 28 but even with that he had 8 points when Haaland and Watkins both had 2 points.
I think someone from Sheffield United will outscore attackers from Arsenal and Liverpool this weekend but it’s hard to know which ones
I think that a spread across the teams has to help after the 6 Liverpool and Arsenal slots are filled... so 3 attackers may be the best option.
For Darwin, gakpo and jota I think it’s best to look at the data when all of them were fit
As the tables rank players by xgi for the season, I think it would be great to have a separate table featuring some players who make the list if ranked by xgi for the last 6 games. Just to see who makes the cut based on current form. But I appreciate the video!

Not on a FH, not keen on Palace players just for a double.. might target Gordon for his good fixtures rather than a 1 week punt..
im not on Fh but i have raya Robbo Regiulion Gabriel salah saka eze garnacho mateta haaland solanke im pretty happy now after watching the video
what do you guys think about Gvardiol ? no FH, BB dgw37, WC used
what about mac allister as an option? with all the doubts over who will start both and get the most minutes etc he has to be the 2nd most nailed liverpool mid/fwd after salah?
I'm also doing Son ➡️ eze but then torn on my second transfer. Do I do Hwang ➡️ Diaz and play zabarnyi? Or bring in a liverpool defender over Zabarnyi and play Hwang?
Probably prefer the latter
I have Mateta Darwin and Toney. Should I transfer out Toney and bring in Solanke?
I have 2 free transfers, I’ve already done Son to Eze.
My other option is now either Hee Chan to Saka, or Haaland to Cunha….
What should I do ?
Saka is a better option than Cunha and Haaland is a better option than Hee Chan
Beb wake up Ross is back with another video! ❤

Can we get Grondin through the middle as a 10 and lockwood out on the right
I can give you 50% of that!
I was struggling to decide between bringing in Diaz or Eze this week.... after watching this I am leaning more towards Diaz. Hopefully he gets 2 starts 🤞
Let's see how many mins he gets tonight maybe
Currently playing branthwaite and dawson do we have any updates please?
Who would be your 2 goalkeepers for this week, I'm currently on a free hit
Another great video Ross good man 👍💯

I probably prefer Darwin to Trent at the moment... and Diaz to McBurnie just based on mins
im on free hit but have bruno in as i cant look past that fixture, thoughts ?
I know Havertz has played st alot but does no one think Gabriel Jesus is a decent option for a cheeky differential from other free hitters this week
Miss your Jammy picks series!
Miss your jammy picks series!
I'd say Hojlund could be the best differential pick this week.
I predict Gomez starts RB tonight at Atalanta and Trent will come on around the 60th depending on the score. Then if there's no extra time I predict Trent starting on the weekend and probably coming off around 70 minutes.
Do you think it’s possible for Trent to start both and play 60-70mins in each? 🧐
@@FPLArchitect yes I believe this is equally possible.
@@mikepanayiotou6520 both games in the double game week for EPL I meant.. ?
@FPLArchitect That's a little harder to predict. Let's see how Liverpool set up tonight and then we may have a better idea.
Do you think it would be worth selling Haaland for a hit (WC35) IF he frees up money to get an elite defender like Robo or White?
Hi Ross great info as usual 👍.... if you still had FH, WC & BB what would your chip strategy be???
If you need the FH this week, FH34, WC35, BB37. If you don't need the FH this week and can BB, BB34, WC35, FH37. If you don't need the FH but also cannot BB, WC35, BB37, FH38. Hopefully that helps!
That's great, thanks for the reply, it does help, along with the data and other thoughts you give provides a base for my decision making. Keep up the great work, much appreciated 👏 👍
Cunha-Haaland-Mateta upfront for me
Do you prefer a -4 hit from Garnacho to Olise?
Hmmm it depends if we think Garnacho is unlikely to start. Maybe wait for news from United's end about Garnacho and ten Hag
Still got TC and BB idk when to use
If Ait Nouri and Branthwaite are not fit, who would be the best replacements? Already have Gabriel, Munoz and Virgil and on BB34.
Tarkowski and Senesi (assuming you can't get to White/Saliba/Robbo)
If I have all my chips left how do I use them?
Great video Ross! I think Klopp is going to rotate all of Liverpool's forwards (apart from Salah) between the two games. Salah is the only one guaranteed to get two 90 min games.
Klopp is not blind, he can see that Salah is in poor form. The times when he was undroppable are long gone. If he plays 90 against Atalanta, he will be benched in one of the games.
Even Salah isn't going to get 180 mins I wouldn't imagine, but I do expect him to start both dependent upon minutes tonight
McBurnie was captain last game, you don't drop your captain
Worth bringing in Diaz (selling Sarabia) for a -4? 1 week punt only (WC35)
Probably not
Really don’t understand the view point that stats are less important for a one week punt. Yes, there is going to be more variability and random players will do well, but picking the players with the best stats/fixtures for the specific week is going to give you a better chance than picking random players on gut feelings
The ‘best mid 5’, is my exact mid 5 🤩
Excellent!
What to do with Wolves Dawson
26:29 Havertz gets arrested????
Good morning Ross.
Good morning my friend!
No Liverpool attacker other than Salah will start twice in 3 days. Salah, Alisson and VVD
What about goalies?
Olise or Brereton Diaz for 1 week punt?
Olise will haul
I am bench boost 37 but I still have triple captain to use. Who do you think ? I’m between Havertz, Salah for this week or Palmer for 35.
Palmer 35
For me it would be Salah in 34, but I do like Palmer in 35 too
Fpl content🔥
Trent will start every single game until end of the season. He needs to get into rythm and hes not gonna get there on the bench
Watkins at home is better than 120 mins of Darwin, better than 180 mins of Mateta and Cunha
chuna and solanke front 2 for fh34
I'm a bit concerned now that Edouard is back for Palace that he may start one of the games in place of Mateta.
Nah mateta is their number 9
ACUNHAMATETA :)
I would argue Watkins is the better single game week attacker this week🤔
I like him, but I would always have Haaland over Watkins if given the choice
Using Bournemouth’s last six matches as a metric for defensive numbers is highly questionable considering who their opponents were
They’re not too dissimilar across the season either though
As if this Brereton Diaz guy's being considered 😂
Probs outscore Luis Diaz 😂
Cunha on pens then Sarabia 🟠⚫
Thanks again Ross you legend, one question I was gonna ask is what option would you pick on FH
Option 1: Neto and Olise
Option 2: Henderson and Brereton Diaz
No one can predict the future mate, but both are good. I'm going for option one personally.
I prefer the second slightly, although it's very close!
Thanks Ross great video

Shoulda listened
Everyone bringing in Eze r going to cry😂😂.. most transfer in curse remains undefeated
So you're telling me to go Olise?
He's currently 5th most transferred in behind Gordon, Saka, Diaz and Isak
Back again,Ross you are a legend!
Thank you mate!
Trossard?
Not sure he starts both though...
@@FPLRaptor going with my gut on this one 😜

Loooool I didn’t mean to
Tarkowski has been may have “solid data” but has he got those FPL points? No he hasn’t. A big avoid for me.
First two minutes: "This will be stats heavy and a deep analysis" + "You could go on just vibe". I mean ...
Brother if you actual listened, I explained the contradiction! Still use stats, but they are less useful for single gameweek predictions :)
Hear me out… Bruno Fernandes …
“Robbo”. 🤢
😊👍🖖💪👊🍻
I have Mateta Darwin and Toney. Should I transfer out Toney and bring in Solanke?
