Once again Ja Morant was caught on IG Live flashing a piece out on the lanes. The Grizzlies already suspended him but NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has yet to make his decision. Whatever happens there is serious doubt about the future of one of basketball’s biggest stars. - Спорт

Just ban him for a season and cut his pay, he won't learn if you just give him a month suspension
I wish but it’s not good for business so it won’t happen
it more bad for business if he doesnt learn his lesson. So its better to ban him for a season without pay. He will definitely learn his lesson with that punishment.
You're right he needs it all taken away so he can see what he is missing, and gain some appreciation. There are a million other ballers wishes they could be in his position.

I've been heavy into gangsta rap since I was a kid in the 90's. I mean deep, I have a vast collection from the mainstream like Eazy E and Snoop, to underground shit you never heard of. I was allowed to listen from a young age because I was given the proper guidance along with it. My parents made sure I knew not to take what they were saying too serious and to know it's all entertainment at the end of the day, and there are real consequences to emulating that behavior. Now days If you don't have the proper guidance and you get a hold of this modern stuff where these fools describe in detail shootings and crimes they be committing, combined with how they see everyone emulating it on social media it's a real recipe for disaster.
Parenting is not enough
Or you could just have common sense. People who blame music for why they are violent are just making excuses for being a degenerate.
@J M Music is a definite influencer in young people, that's a fact. You can't "blame" music for your actions but everything we see and hear in our adolescence is definitely something that influences us, it's just human nature. This is the main reason I don't like my son listening to any rap music

Fire vid🔥 I’m still a fan of Ja but he needs to learn his lesson
He won't
I totally agree with you on many points! But I have a slightly different opinion on one thing, based on my own experiences in the past! His environment and probably many of his pseudo "friends" are toxic for his life, career, family and future! It seems that one and the other of these friends gets him into certain situations over and over again that ends up getting him into trouble, in a bad light towards his employer (club & NBA) all his obligations to sponsors who are also all hundreds of millions together invested in his career - success and as your driving force for the next 10-15 years! And all this for a few would like Gangster Squad guys from his youth, school... I have mercilessly banned all these "friends" from my life and excluded them forever who have harmed me in the long run! Glad about that because some of them later got worse and worse and fell more and more in their sad lives! Yes, he should have done it much earlier, radically excluding all toxic "friends" from his youth from his life when he got the chance to become a professional and to be successful in the NBA! But if you don't want to learn from your mistakes and prefer to listen to the wrong people around you, who only see your own personal well-being and gain from your cash cow, you should also fall low and lose everything... Because that's the only way you'll learn in the end really for life and who is still at his side in the end!
True .....he is not a 12yr old, blaming toxic friends doesn't make sense
@Bon Free I agree. You can't blame his friends if he chooses to be with them.
That exact attitude of EXCUSES is exactly what creates failure from those who are gifted. Our whole society and culture is just one big excuse for failure. Stand up. Be accountable. Stop pointing your fingers at other people.

I am 27 now and a lot of the music that I found relatable when I was in late teens and early 20s does not hit the same way. Like some of the punk music I listen to now feels a bit immature than when I was younger. I guess its written for that type of audience but it just feels weird to it now. Not saying they are wrong for writing it or listening to it because it is how they feel and there is some truth to it but idk it just feels different.
Being young and immature can't be an excuse for this dude. He is a grown ass adult with a daughter making millions a year, he has no excuse to be "influenced" by music to the point where he is flashing a gun in a car on ig live

Referring to himself in 3rd person, you know the rehab was a joke.
Unfortunately, for issues like this it takes a wake up call 99% of the time depending on the person in question. An 8 game suspension isn't a wake up call, 25 game suspension isn't either, not losing a sponsorship, nothing. It's a gamble whether that wake up call will come in the form of him getting in serious trouble, getting arrested for being part of or with the wrong people who do something irreversible, or him getting seriously hurt or worse. Ja feels like he's invincible, the world is his oyster and he's young rich and famous, you can't tell him or people in his position shit, no "OG" or old head/veteran in the league is gonna sit down with him or talk to him and make him straighten up.
You spot on. I’m afraid of the outcome he’s heading toward. Usually it takes a life altering situation to wake people up. And he’s 23 with all that distraction 😮💨 it’s gonna take a lot for him to really feel the sting of his actions.
His parents need to whoop his ass. Hell Everyone should slap him. Even his daughter should. Obviously only himself could save him and change his behaviour. but his loved ones the one he trusted is the closest thing to himself that can save him
steven adams literally talked to the team about this kinda thing and ja just doesnt care. so dissapointed
Why would he ever listen to an old head in his position? He's better at ball, gets way more $$, he would just think the old head is hating. Would u listen if you are a young rich NBA superstar and face of your team when some bench rider scoring 2 ppts a game try to straighten you out? Some people will keep play stupid games and keep getting stupid prizes.
I'm pretty sure commission won't do anything with it unless he actually does something with that firearm other than dancing with it. Then and only then commission will give him the axe. Or something else. But suspensions on games I agree won't change anything in him. Either retire and get help (but I'm sure he won't do that, just wishful thinking on my part) or go to jail (which would in turn cuts you from the NBA). His choice at the end of the day, not the NBA. They haven't done anything that warrants an actual response from players, higher ups and fans alike. Like I said, suspending him won't change $μ¡t.
