I've been heavy into gangsta rap since I was a kid in the 90's. I mean deep, I have a vast collection from the mainstream like Eazy E and Snoop, to underground shit you never heard of. I was allowed to listen from a young age because I was given the proper guidance along with it. My parents made sure I knew not to take what they were saying too serious and to know it's all entertainment at the end of the day, and there are real consequences to emulating that behavior. Now days If you don't have the proper guidance and you get a hold of this modern stuff where these fools describe in detail shootings and crimes they be committing, combined with how they see everyone emulating it on social media it's a real recipe for disaster.

I totally agree with you on many points! But I have a slightly different opinion on one thing, based on my own experiences in the past! His environment and probably many of his pseudo "friends" are toxic for his life, career, family and future! It seems that one and the other of these friends gets him into certain situations over and over again that ends up getting him into trouble, in a bad light towards his employer (club & NBA) all his obligations to sponsors who are also all hundreds of millions together invested in his career - success and as your driving force for the next 10-15 years! And all this for a few would like Gangster Squad guys from his youth, school... I have mercilessly banned all these "friends" from my life and excluded them forever who have harmed me in the long run! Glad about that because some of them later got worse and worse and fell more and more in their sad lives! Yes, he should have done it much earlier, radically excluding all toxic "friends" from his youth from his life when he got the chance to become a professional and to be successful in the NBA! But if you don't want to learn from your mistakes and prefer to listen to the wrong people around you, who only see your own personal well-being and gain from your cash cow, you should also fall low and lose everything... Because that's the only way you'll learn in the end really for life and who is still at his side in the end!

Unfortunately, for issues like this it takes a wake up call 99% of the time depending on the person in question. An 8 game suspension isn't a wake up call, 25 game suspension isn't either, not losing a sponsorship, nothing. It's a gamble whether that wake up call will come in the form of him getting in serious trouble, getting arrested for being part of or with the wrong people who do something irreversible, or him getting seriously hurt or worse. Ja feels like he's invincible, the world is his oyster and he's young rich and famous, you can't tell him or people in his position shit, no "OG" or old head/veteran in the league is gonna sit down with him or talk to him and make him straighten up.

Or something else. But suspensions on games I agree won't change anything in him. Either retire and get help (but I'm sure he won't do that, just wishful thinking on my part) or go to jail (which would in turn cuts you from the NBA). His choice at the end of the day, not the NBA. They haven't done anything that warrants an actual response from players, higher ups and fans alike. Like I said, suspending him won't change $μ¡t.
