As i understand correctly, the permission can be applied either through Global permissions (which give access to all the project) or through Permission scheme (associating that to the project and having roles assigned). I see you did both. (Sorry if i have missed a statement that you mentioned about this)
I found this very helpful. Question, at minute 16, you copied the Default Permission Scheme rather than the Default software scheme? Why? I'm not clear on the different purposes of these 2 schemes.
Thank you for your video. Is it possible to make some tasks inside project visible for specific users? So that they will see only specific issues and no other issues.
Thanks for the comment, so I must admit it could be a better video tutorial, and I'm working on the new version. Roles are extensions of groups like a filter, so it's up to you if you plan to use them in your project. Sometimes it's more convenient to use Roles, but sometimes only groups, so I messed up in this case, sorry.
I followed the whole process and I am sure there is something missing. Once I set the new permission scheme and I not able to access my project anymore
Yo, so if you can access the project anymore it means you are not in the right group or you removed the wrong group. If you the administrator navigate to the right top corner and use settings -> projects, next go to permissions and check if you are in the right group.
Nice one, thanks it helps me to understand a bit more how to manage the permission - roles - Group. Very clear. Also one question, let's say, for a single project is there a way run at the same time 2 sprints? Thanks
Not very clear. And I still don't understand the difference between Groups and Roles as you didn't give definition. And I don't follow you what you're doing...
7 minutes into the video, talks a lot but says little thus far. Maybe your newer videos are better, this one challenges my attention span from the get-go.

Thanks for the video. I have always found Jira access control management very convoluted. Your video is a great help!

hi, thanks for that. one question - is it possible to rename a group?
Hi, unfortunately, you can't rename a group, so in such a case, you can create a new group and move users across. Next, remove the old group.

Thank you. Yes, you are right as it was my personal chose as the default permission name. You can always copy for a different scheme name.

Well, it's not that easy but it's kind of possible. It requires security issue - I'm planning to record a new video about it soon.
@@ProjectFlowAcademy Thank you for your reply
Is it possible to limit the access to a board, I have tow board under a single classic porject.
Yes, it's possible. You need to explore Board Config and Permission tab
@@ProjectFlowAcademy Thanks a lot...👍👍👍
Too much waffling. 3:00 in and you still haven't started talking about anything but your channel and your products and services for sale.
how To give a user permission to create a project in Jira?
Not possible in Jira. Only super admins can create projects.
You mention it's very important to add the role in the new permission schema and not the group. Why is this?

Thanks for the comment. A New video coming soon
With NextGen projects there are no permissions to configure. You simply add people to the project and the permissions are all defaulted.
True but you can also limit who can get access to the project.

Yeah I agree with you but thanks, a new video is coming soon
