They gave AVI ARAD a big thank you in the credits
But do you know who else deserves a big thank you?
    LAURA ZISKIN
It was because of her and her partner (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the original trilogy and TASM1 had depth
Arad on the other hand just wanted to use the movies to sell toys

Peter Parker and Mary Jane's relationship. In Amazing Spider-Man Annual #21 (1987) by David Michelinie, Jim Shooter, and Paul Ryan, Peter Parker married Mary Jane. Behind the scenes, this occurred because Stan Lee wanted Spider-Man to get married in the newspaper comic strip that he was writing at the time. Marvel liked the idea and decided to have them get married in the comics as well.
The problem was that they were broken up at the time. So, the writers had to quickly bring her back, rekindle the romance, have Peter propose, and then get married. This all happened within the span of a few issues. Anyone that's ever planned a real wedding knows how unrealistic this whole timeline was.

Gwen came first then MJ but (as a love triangle). Then after you know what MJ and Pete became a thing. Interestingly Raimi's MJ has comic Gwen's personality, while Mark Webb's Gwen has comic MJ's personality.

Not everyone is a fan of Peter and Mary Jane's relationship. While many fans love her, some feel that it's weird for Peter Parker to be married to a supermodel. That can be a valid complaint, but the problem is that Mary Jane has had one of the most inconsistent careers ever. She's constantly moving between being a struggling model, a highly sought-after model, a soap opera actress, and even giving up on show business completely multiple times. It's understandable for careers to have ups and downs, but it seems like the writers can't even decide if she's famous or not.

LAURA ZISKIN was the only one capable to save this movie from AVI ARAD
After she died in 2011, during the production of TASM1, there was nobody else to stop Arad from ruining everything
    May she rest in peace

The success of the first Spider-Man movie in 2002 made Maguire a more bankable star and he seemed sure to return for Spider-Man 2, until Maguire began pushing Sony to delay shooting on the second Spider-Man movie because of the back injuries Maguire had suffered while filming Gary Ross' Seabiscuit in 2003. Rumors quickly began to circulate in Hollywood that Maguire was exaggerating his injuries in order to justify a larger salary, though Maguire denies this. It is a matter of record, however, that Sony did consider recasting Peter Parker in Spider-Man 2 before Maguire was judged sufficiently healed to return as the wall-crawler.

The fact that she was born a year after me and don’t like Tobey 🤦🏾‍♂️😂😂 that’s craaaazy. Andrew is cool though, after I got over tobey not coming back, I have his a movies a try. I fw him way more than I do Tom, Tom lowkey corny to me. It’s not him but his way of playing the character

Peter Parker and Mary Jane's relationship. Time in comic books is a funny thing. The Marvel Universe has a sliding timescale, meaning that it's hard to peg down when stories took place in relation to each other. The time that passes in the real world means nothing. That being said, Peter and MJ started dating way too soon after Gwen Stacy's demise. She lost her life in Amazing Spider-Man #121 (1973) by Gerry Conway and Gil Kane. By the end of the next issue, the seeds were being planted for them to get together. They didn't immediately start dating, but Peter seemed to get over his "one, true love" suspiciously fast. Granted, MJ was aware that Gwen cheated on Peter with Norman Osborn, but that's another story entirely.

What's her name? Did he say this is "white girl"? lmao 😅😅 damn she was born in 96 and him in 89, I thought both you guys were in your 20's haha. Nice reaction, I wouldn't say of all time TDK and The Batman are better movies imo than this but this is easily the best Spider-Man movie, NWH is solid but I think I like this one more honestly. To each his own though. I was born in 83, from Superman to everything now I would still put TDK over this film just because of the plot overall personally but this is easily the best Tobey film by far.
