My sister just told me that Bitcoin was a scam and that she had second-hand embarrassment for me when I told everyone to buy it. She just told me that this morning as Bitcoin was reaching $63,000 and I was $27,000 in profit. When are people going to wake up and realize that the future of money is no longer in US dollars? Early adopters, such as all of us will ride the lightning bolt into the future and never need to worry about our finances again.
This is a good video topic. A lot of people have already made up their mind about Bitcoin and have said its a scam, or that it'll go away. A lot of these people want to be right and unfortunately will die on this hill. They NEED the price to go down to be right. History will not be good to these people. Imagine when their kids get old enough to ask them "Mom, Dad - why didn't you buy Bitcoin at $1k? $10k? $20k? $60k?" What are they gonna say? They can't lie - they're gonna look dumb.
I went to a Bitcoin meeting in 2012 I think it was 11 or 12 dollars. I was going to buy some but kept putting it off. two years ago I decided that's it. not going to put it off anymore. Glad I took action and bought in.

Older generations will have, in general, a much harder time adapting. Happens with all new revolutionary things. That being said, same thing about the wallet side of it, its easier to grasp the younger you are. Their still willing to learn, especially if it means they have a chance to actually get ahead, speed things up and stop walking in sand. Plus, the wallet is actually really pretty easy to set up and use. I was rocking and rolling in 1 day. Less time then it takes to set up a new bank account at a traditional bank. Useable same day. Longest wait I had was waiting for a hardware wallet to arrive which took 3 days, still 2x faster then my hometown banks 6 day transfer / hold on cash.
@@joehogan8234 Im surprised they were as big of a hit as they were. People paying other people to own the appreciating asset, who then in turn take a small, but constant 'fee' for managing it for you. Leaving you with the depreciating fiat.
@@RePetesBees For some people it is more convenient to have an etf. I bought a bitcoin etf years ago that pays a dividend. I then just use that dividend to buy more bitcoin or buy other etfs. It works for me but I do understand the arguments against my strategy.

How do you send money to friends for a $10 lunch? Do you think in terms of "how much is $10 in bitcoin " and then send bitcoin? Idk if money, the thing we buy food, pay for gas, etc... is how you even think of products or services. People adapt how much a loaf of bread worth based on USD and then translate to units of bitcoin... so you yourself are still thinking and paying in dollars, just transferring it in bitcoin Kinda like if you wanted to be paid in Canadian dollar versus US dollar. You measure in USD, then look at the conversion rate, and pay in Canadian dollar
Does make you wonder, we've seen these exchanges shit the bed many times during very volitile moments you think these exchanges would've planned for this by now - but to be fair, I don't know what a 10x, 100x, ect increase to traffic flow all at once would do to servers.

Keep preaching that gold! I like bitcoin but altcoin season is where the major gains will be unless you're investing hundreds of thousands or millions. Either way the only the charts trend are up 🚀
Excellent information, what I think about though is. What’s going to happen to those people that don’t have BTC? Surly it can’t just disappear because fiat is still here and everyone on earth has it and can easily get hold of it. That’s what makes us create value with it. That belief. Anyways yeah! Unless I’m missing something.
bITCOIN IS NOT MONEY BRO,ITS GOLD You dont just break gold in exchange for cash.......USDC is Money/Cash. If you want to spend BTC exchange to a stable coin and spend that way. Like If you Get it,So people learn

So when bitcoin is worth say, 1 million dollars. And you don't wanna sell it. But borrow against it, like equity on a house or whatever. Who's gonna hold the btc and lend you the $$$ ? Big banks? Cos the "not your keys, not your coins" phrase springs to mind. I wouldnt trust the banks to hold it. Lol
I love crypto. I do have a lot. However, what keeps me from going all in?, see crypto lives on the Internet, and everything on the Internet is hack-able, yeah true hardware wallets and all are a bit more safe but still, no Internet, no crypto and , again Internet=Hackers. So yeah it’s true; Bitcoin is better than any money’s however if once you wake up and check your Ledger Wallet and it’s $0,00??? What do you do? Cry? Where is BTC customer Service?, oops sorry wrong number. So do not put money you are not willing to loose, so Michael Sailor putting his life into Bitcoin is very risky. My thoughts only. Cheers.

All you need to do is buy some bitcoin. Did so in 2019 after folowing and educating myself for 3 years before.
Congratulations ! I educated myself and started investing in BTC in 2019 too. FREEDOM at LAST! :-)

Random thought but I think getting ppl comfortable with hardware wallets and self custody will be a big mental hurdle. What do you guys think?

I agree with you on all but it’s hard to think of bitcoin as a currency, I feel it’s more of an asset , respect
currency is just one of its functions.. like the web has email, website, Ftp and others - at the core its a software
