Oh my goodness…. If we all would be so vulnerable to share photos of our daily life, homes, and changes along the way, statements such as those made from viewers such as that, would be far less then they tend to be. We watch your videos for multiple reasons but most of all…..because no matter what you share with us, you draw us back each time we see that you’ve posted, by your encouraging words and sharing real life with us! Let’s continue to celebrate with you the JOY that you’re experiencing in your new home… your lovely lawns and gardens, and the simplicity of life that we all crave that you so vulnerably are willing to share with us all! May The Lord continue to bless you and your family during this season of rest…. He knew you and your family would be there. (For such a time as this!). Enjoy this precious season that the Lord has you in and enjoy the lovely gardens that HE has placed you within. It’s now your turn to be the “Keeper of the gardens as well”. The Lord will continue to establish you wherever he sends you!

What a wonderful property to enjoy and enhance! I sometimes wonder when the time comes that I will need to leave my little country farm, will the next owners appreciate the love I’ve poured into it? I noticed your chickens’ roosting bars are rather narrow. They need bars at least 3” wide so they can settle their feathers over their feet during cold weather. I remember when we first got chickens, and I told my grandma I was concerned they would be warm enough in the winter. She laughed and told how their chickens back on the farm in Minnesota did just fine without supplemental heat, so our Oregon winters weren’t going to be a problem. Enjoy your new property-at your own pace. ❤

That is exactly how we dry our clothes in Australia. Some younger people are tending to move to dryers, however we still use the clothes line. I love love the smell, the sun and crispiness of sheets and towels. We live in a dry heat area with no humidity, so everything dries beautifully. I also do not use a dishwasher. This is the first house I have ever had a dishwasher and I don't use it. My husband and I wash up every night and it is a great way to catch up on your day. I have asked a few American youtubers why they do not use clothes lines over there, and their response is that no one has clothes lines as they live in such cold climates which I understand, however people in California etc. would be able to use them. I guess it is just the way we were bought up differently. So glad you are enjoying your new home and surroundings, it is beautiful. Jo from Australia xxx

I am now wondering why I haven't used a clothesline my whole life. I would makeshift them sometimes, but it has been such a joy! You are right, everything is so crisp and lovely and I feel like we have way less shrinkage. I too am in a really dry climate, so it works - but we have hard winters so I will likely have to use the dryer for a few months out of the year. But it is the best! It is so interesting to hear that in Australia it is the normal way. And even more fun to hear from you all the way in Australia! Thank you for watching my channel and connecting with me. It always amazes me. Have a wonderful day Jo!

Here it’s a thing of the past for the most part. My great-grandmother used one. When I was a kid we used one because we were poor and didn’t have a dryer… I think there’s a stigma here now that if you use one you’re a hillbilly! I made myself a clothesline but am too spoiled/lazy to use it. But I love real clotheslines!! I think they are nostalgic and remind me of my childhood and I’d love to have a nice one. I’m from California :)

Yes we did! They are so cute! Our mama cat had a litter of kittens but we think the move stressed her and she took them somewhere and we have been unable to find them at all. It's been over 2 months now. We are so very sad, but got 2 more because we will have a mouse problem if we don't keep cats around.
