I watched this video a few years back and made my wig that I'm still wearing today! I just wanted to say thanks! It has made a difference in how the hair lays. It was my first time making...I even found the cap you used! GREAT JOB! I've had nothing but complements....my best friend even tried to copy with her REAL hair!
this tutorial is by far the best I've seen. You have literally saved me money. I just finished making my own and its better than expected. i cant wait to rock it. :)
I have made this my weekend project and now I'm starting my invisible part and I'm so excited! My wig is looking great! I took my sweet time ( hours) but I'm so happy to have this as my natural hair protective style. Thanx a bunches! You are truly a pro Hun!
think i am going try this method next... you gave me courage to make my 1st u-part and ppl think it's a weave so i know i got this. I'm def a visual type of person. like the rest of the ladies I'm anticipating your install vid. your layering b on point.
its crrazy i made a wig like this 2 days ago! i always figured a V part wig would be easier to manage when it came to leave out than a U part....i found when i did my U parts that i had to leave too much hair out so the V part with the invisible part method was best of both worlds!! i put my Vpart wig on and ive never felt myself like it did wearing it lolol....lays so flat like it was my real hair and i dont have to worry about really blending my hair cause the leave out is minimal
Thank you so much for the tip ! I did mine and it took me 3 days ( watching tv shows , eating and stuff ) . Except for the closure that I need to work on , my wig is pretty badass ! Can't wait for another video .
In all honesty, I've been using this cap for 4 years... I love the security it provides, it is spandex, so its not thick and heavy. In my opinion no other cap compares that is widely available. It's just a thin layer between your head and the tracks... Don't be fooled by caps with holes in them, they are all designed to be breathable! I hope that helps!
Ive watched this video for about 1,000 times like i just ordered my first virgin hair today and i like really wanted to make a u part wig so hopely it comes out as beautiful as yours fingers crossed
Instead of cutting and sewing little pieces you could just sew on pieces that are the full width of the empty space, part the hair, and cut through the parted hair. Its faster and less of a hassle. :)
If you did that, you would be cutting the thread itself and it will come undone. And i think the reason she did this, is for fuller bangs like Kim K (she stated that doing the beginning). 😄 Have a good day and God Bless
I've watched 3-4 of your video's they are very close up, & very well illustrated! I've learned so much! I'm now a subby!! If I may make a suggestion. You have a soft spoken voice which is pleasant but I find myself constantly monitoring the volume level up & down from the music blasting in & out. If it could be keep at a minimum level would make the whole experience even better! Thanks and Keep them coming!
Excellent, well done video. Your teaching method really is encouraging and supportive and it sure does bolster my confidence to try to make a similar wig. You are a great teacher and have so much talent. Thank you for your generosity in sharing your information with everyone here.
I have been watching this video for about three weeks making sure I remember how to do it before I start making my very first own wig. This is amazing the only key info that I couldn't tell and wanted to ask you is "Do you sew on the wefts or right under it???"
Thanks for posting such great video. The 1st time i tried to make a wig I cut it way too far back and it had a super wide section for the leave out. But I followed your directions too the T using some virgin curly hair and it came out very nice!!!!. Now I think I'm ready to try the L-shape wig, tht seems like you can leave very little hair out and still look pretty natural too. 5 stars to you!
Hey I absolutely love your videos!! especially the wig making videos. i dont make wigs being that im white but ive learned so much and you do amazing work. the time and dedication you put into the wigs really show because they look amazing every time! thanks for sharing and god bless
You are so good with making wigs...are you going to start selling them one day? I love watching you make wigs because you show us step by step...ur the best girl!
God Bless you b/c i am ordering some curly hair next month and i think this method will be perfect to try with it b/c i have the hardest time blending my hair with extensions!!!!
I have to say that i freakin love all of your videos when it comes to making your wigs to installing them..i learn so much and your so detailed..thank you so much for takin the time to do so !!!
Sorry if you mentioned this and I wasn't paying attention, but did you fold the wefts over and then sew them on or did you do a single layer for each row?
oMG. you are a master at this! I loved how it looked! You should go into business and make and sell these! I'm in the process of making halo extensions for my own hair.(like the "GG's Extensions" .. I'm always looking for a new way to wear my extensions. But seriously you are great at this.
OOO WEE!!!! You never cease to amaze me. You have the best invisible parts I've seen thus far and I'm glad you posted this b/c I don't always want to leave out a lot (if any) of hair. Can I do this with the weaving net instead of the cap? (the dome caps are too small for me).
You did an amazing job :) I discovered you and your vids today and I'm enjoying them. You're very informative, talented and your speaking voice is great! You've inspired me to create my own wigs instead of purchasing the synthetic units every 3 weeks. Would you recommend practicing with human hair first as a first timer or should I go for the good malaysian hair and follow your techniques? God bless, Jessica
This is beautifully done! Very neat! As soon as get the Hair I ordered, this is what I will make. Thank you so much for sharing your talent! Hope mine will come out this great. Will let u know. Going to watch how you install this. Thanks again.
OMG!!!!! first time watching this vid, but i did this same technique on the glued wig i did earlier this year....and i LOVED it!!! quick QUESTIONS though, what type of thread are you sewing with?? its thin and obscure unlike the traditional sew-in thread.
This may seem like a silly question but when doing the invisible part on your wig can you glue it instead of sewing like you did in the video? Thank You. You are one of the best on youtube to me. Much love.
Hey Tiarra, I'm thinking about doing this wig with a closure as I don't wanna leave my hair out, how do you think it will come out ? I want to use 5 bundles as well, but will it work with a closure on top of it ?
as soon as i got making regular upart wigs down pac here comes this video! lol cant wait to try this so i wont have to flat iron my leave out so much. Thanks!
How long does it usually make your wigs? it looks amazing girl and I feel like I could do it also! Thank you soo much! I'm trying to let my natural hair grow out and this is the perfect way. Definitely subscribed!
i did that for my 1st u part, so that when i want to tie it up (which i do a lot) it looks more like its my hair:) I just turned the wig over and along the perimeter of the wig i sewed one track around it the same way you would sew it on the other side.
I believe she either added clips onto the wig to lock in place, or she braided around the crown of her head and her edges, and sewed it around the perimiter
Thank you so much for this video! It took me forever but I'm pleased with the results. You're a great stylist and may all you're passions come true. NicoleShawnte
Hey Tiarra. I love your work. I wondered if it would be possible to post a video of the sewing process you did before getting to the u-part of this wig. I would like to try this style myself. I know how to sew in a weave I am just not sure in how far apart I should put each track. I only ask for a video because I am a visual learner and seeing it does a lot for me.
Hey, I love this wig and I'm going to attempt (keyword, ATTEMPT lol) to make one myself for the first time. Question, for the invisible part portion of the wig, did you split the track?
I ditto @MsChicoro - You are amazing and beautiful! Thank you so much for this video. It went from beginning to end, no shortcuts. You didn't miss a beat...for us. I have watched all three vids and you are freakn' talented. Thanks very much for your unselfishness. I've been playing with hear for many many years. Was even in the business and you are a fresh addition. I might just try this myself :). I'll be refering back often. God Bless
WOW! You did such a good job. You got me thinking I can do it too lol. I just have one question. Did you sew the back of the cap down to your hair like you did the front???
I tried this method with a dome cap and I realised that when the wig tried to fit my head it was too small. Can you pls recommend something else to use, or somewhere I can get the dome cap custom made. Thank you Loved the tutorial
Girl your videos are so helpful!!I ran into you a couple of years ago near Fordham and you were so sweet!!You are now as wendy would say a friend in my head!Lol!:)
Please please upload a detailed video on how you construted the U-part wig in this video. Pleeease :) I'm a beginner and your the queen of DIY wigs. YOUR vidoes/channels is why I began watching RUclips hair vids!!
I always feel that I cut too much of the cap and end up with it being too loose. I am going to try this method and hope that it works. Thanks a ton for this one!!!
hey Doll, Ive never had a weave before nor have i ever wanted one untilI subscribed your Chanel now I want a long straight weave for July because I am going out of town and I want something new. Need help with choosing hair and whereunto buy it, how much is too much. help. thanks Doll

quick QUESTIONS though, what type of thread are you sewing with?? its thin and obscure unlike the traditional sew-in thread.
quick question.. should the bearding be facing upward or could it be better if the beards are facing inward/downward.
This may seem like a silly question but when doing the invisible part on your wig can you glue it instead of sewing like you did in the video? Thank You. You are one of the best on youtube to me. Much love.

Love how you do your weaves. Is there any one that can be worn in water on vacation?
I believe she either added clips onto the wig to lock in place, or she braided around the crown of her head and her edges, and sewed it around the perimiter
Thank you so much for this video! It took me forever but I'm pleased with the results. You're a great stylist and may all you're passions come true. NicoleShawnte

xx
WOW! You did such a good job. You got me thinking I can do it too lol. I just have one question. Did you sew the back of the cap down to your hair like you did the front???
I did it! I used your glue gun method and a side part, none the less, placement was perfect! Thank you!
I tried this method with a dome cap and I realised that when the wig tried to fit my head it was too small. Can you pls recommend something else to use, or somewhere I can get the dome cap custom made. Thank you
