It is tiring to see the same nasty comments from some of you. Appreciate that someone is taking care of these monkeys. Anything is better than nothing. I think it is part jealous as they would love to interact with the monkeys and maybe some is some sincere concern for the monkeys. But I feel if someone is there giving them that little extra boost that they desperately need to survive. We all know it is not the best situation but it is so much better than just abandoning these young monkeys. Orphanages around the world all provide a boost so the young ones can survive as from birth their lives have not been ideal. I honestly see this Orphanage as a success. The young men who are there every day do a fanatic job. And if they make some money from it, I am so happy I can do so little to uplift someone's life in these developing countries. Their good will be spread with more people around them. Other Orphanages around the world operate on thousands of dollars in operating costs, this one is doing very well with just peanuts really, no pun intended. But so little money is generated to run this Orphanage. I see the jealousy too, in that some have that these VOs are making. Why is that your business? Mind your own business!! These VOs are doing a lot to take care of these monkeys, they are sitting behind a computer and just critical of everything..If you are suffering from depression please see a doctor, you should not be on any social media. It is tiring to see the same offensive comments. Stop it!
Dan do you yourself know anything about these people? Have you done any research to find out about them? Half of these orphans as you call them are there because of these so called good people. KT is a known macaque abuser and so is her husband they were exposed then shortly there after this troop was started by one of their friends and KT were amongst the first to dump their own monkeys here. So maybe you should look at the whole picture of why some of the comments are not so kind rather than half of the picture. The VO's will pick out certain monkeys and get them in situations that gets them attacked and killed or badly hurt and die a slow painful death.
All I am saying is there is always 2 sides to every story and this story is mostly bad all the way around.
These people are all connected they are poachers, who are in the business of buying and selling monkeys. These wonderful people owned and has most of these monkeys in their homes making videos since government cracked down them and their Co horts family business partners all vested in the same illegal exploition the care just videoing them in the park. They created drama to get your attention and the daily feeding 3 times a day is the gravy they draw people just like you to believe that they libe snd cars for these monkeys so much and these monkeys are solely dependent on them. That way people post negative comments. All these monkeys babies had mothers, they either been poached stolen or sold there is not great monkey stork. You need to do some research and find out how this particular group was stared and by whom. That young man you are referring to its a master poachers.
What I find just amazing are those holier than thou preachers who are quick to CRITICIZE other commenters whose opinions they don't like. They then proclaim such commenters must be depressed and need to see a doctor or get on meds. Who does that? Dude, really, what's wrong with YOU? You throw a tantrum (telling people to "Stop it!) because people don't like your favorite VOs who tease distressed monkeys? Noticed most of the distressed monkeys (those sucking their thumbs) are the ones they tease. If you find it so tiring to read comments you don't like, perhaps you are the one who needs to see a doctor. Just sayin.
