Really wish these races were best 3 out of 5. I feel like the first two races are a combination of drivers figuring our their cars on this strip and them figuring out their driving style on the strip. 3/5 would lead to closer races, IMO.

That truck is probably 30-70 weight distribution compared back to front. If it were to hook on rwd should it likely be somewhere in the 50-60% weight in back.

The G70 is overshadowed by the Kia Stinger but I’m glad Hoonigan made a video about it because I’ve been wanting one since it came out, it seems like the best performance sedan if you wanna be different to the other luxury performance sedans in the market while still pushing great power!
That truck is bad-ass and sounds great, but it's also a perfect example as to why I don't build my cars to have more than 500 horsepower to the wheels. If your vehicle isn't equipped with some kind of modern day traction control system, or at least running a huge sticky tire, all that horsepower is absofreakinlutely pointless if you can't put it to the ground. That Genesis is probably hurting a lot of people's feelings out on the street. Gotta give it it's props!
I wouldn’t bring more than 400HP to race on a surface like that unless I had AWD. Anything but AWD just spins, even on slick’s. Trying to get anything else to hook is almost impossible, even on the roll.
275/60r15 probdrag radial. 850hp. Car pulls the tires for 40ft on a simalar Surface. They need to put weight behind the rear axle for better weight transfer. Need to be at least 55% weight of car on the back tires.
As a Stinger owner I'd say be very easy on those mods on the G70 especially when it comes to tuning the transmission. I was at 460 wheel and blew mine. Everyone says the trans is made of glass cause it's literally the weekest part of the car. With that much power it's a ticking time bomb
@usdcharlie maybe I just had a bad trans to begin with. I've probably only launched my car about 20x's total. I also had a Sprint Booster so that plus the TCU tune could've fried it also. The dealership told me they've never come across a Stinger with a trans in such bad shape

Look at the the track bro. It’s dusty AF. Crawfish is 4WD so it hooks. If you’ve seen Hoonigan race videos 4WD/AWD drivers always win against RWD cars. Way different than racing at prepped tracks.
Great close race! Round two was won by only 1 car length. And the bonus roll race shows just how much AWD helps off the line in no prep drag racing; the truck had slightly more power\weight ratio.

Few things. 1. That truck is neither running an 8 nor a 10. 2 this shows why power doesn’t always mean shit on a dyno, the curve is better. That 580 doing work at low rpm where that 800+ only working out late
It’s an unprepped air strip. Really hard to put down a lot of power with just 2wd. I’d bet that truck would be way faster than the car on a prepped drag strip. But, on this surface you really need AWD to really put some power down.

Me and my coworker sold that Genesis to him in Kirkland. Also he shoulda tried the Tork tune instead of the Lap3 since he’s got the 3.3 to 10 seconds with basic bolts-ons.

Having worked on them for a living, that mind set isn't wrong. Their cars have the dumest common problems and they have one of the largest engine recalls ever on an engine platform that two other companies (Mitsubishi and Chrysler) also built for their own cars with no problems.
Genesis is actually a nice car, looks good, interior is really nice and is a reliable fun car! Very under rated, similar to the kia stinger both have a ton of potential. The genesis looks better, rides better, more reliable, super nice interior & won the first few races lol

@@maximumcoast4002 As a valet, I get to drive Genesis and Bentleys almost everyday. I gotta say the interiors of Genesis held better over time. Never seen anything broken on a Genesis, same can't be said on Bentleys, there is always something broken.
