Cool to see this as Vikash went to high school with my daughter. My daughter caused me to live the MINI life as we got her a R53 JCW when she turned 16.
Hey! Do you know if the active seat for the driver will have ventilation function? And is there an option to move the car from a distance and tight parking? Could you share what you can do with fully equipped JCW by your phone?
Fantastic! Personally, I’m not in the market for a U25, but I definitely have my eye on a JCW F66, so this video is great! For the U25, did MINI fix the weird front seat belt mounting? The F60 (and X1/X2 of the same generation) mount the front seatbelts so high on the B-pillar that we could never find a seating position where the seatbelt wasn’t constantly chafing our necks. Passengers complained about it to and would often hold the belt away from them for an entire drive.
Thanks for all the videos! One thing I have not seen addressed anywhere is: does it still have a USB input? I always use this for external drives. Ever since they got rid of the CD player this is my only source for music. For example, I use a 2TB portable SSD full of music files on our 2024 Countryman, and have done the same in our last 3 Mini's. But I do not see the front USB input anywhere on any of the press photos. If they got rid of this, it's a gigantic deal-breaker for me. I can not rely on bluetooth alone for music.
@@MotoringFile Are you sure these are not just charging ports? The 2024 Clubman has those, too, in the same place, but it also has a third ***input*** USB C under the climate control and toggle switches. I do not see this at all on the 2025.
I’m love the car however I feel like we are getting Less luxury in the car and still paying the same price and even more in some cases. The apps to run these new cars don’t cost them anything but if you catch a virus you will pay a lot of money . I love the 2024 mini copper countryman s iconic JCW . Not sure I would buy this 2025 model seems like I would not be getting what I am paying for which luxury. Thank you this review
The take rate of ALL4 is higher because the performance of a weak FWD on such a large vehicle is so bad. It's almost a weird joke to say that only a the JCW Countryman can take a Prius in the 2024 model years - but it's the sad truth. When we start talking BEVs, MINI really needs to move to RWD. Every other manufacturer is doing it because moving the same exact motor to the rear results in better performance with no sacrifice in packaging. Current F56BEV leaves so much on the table because it's FWD and J01 will probably be more or less identical.
Majority of BEV sales in the U.S. are AWD when it’s on offer, or at least that’s what I’ve been told by some “in the know”. So even when a manufacturer offers a RWD version, buyers still more often opt for AWD. Also, MINI/Mini has always been a FWD brand, and I assume the small cars don’t have any means of accommodating a rear motor and its add-ons within their structures. We’ve never even seen an AWD version of the ICE vehicles aside from the Countryman/Clubman/Paceman, so I wouldn’t hold my breath for anything other than the Countryman/Aceman offering AWD. I don’t think we’ll ever see a RWD MINI, it’s just not part of the brand. Also, and let’s be honest, I’m not sure BMW would allow MINI to produce a vehicle that would in many ways compete with its own vehicles but at a lower price point (aside from the Countryman which keeps MINI afloat).

Nice job Vikash and Gabe!

Yes - two USB C ports just below the armrest.

Ah gotcha. We can ask and try to find out. @@estebanmedaglia4506
Will the Heads Up Display be Standard on the 2025 Countryman All 4 SE (electric) in USA as well?
Yes on all Countryman models in the US.

I hate the SUVisation of the whole market. My favorite Mini was the clubman jcw, and they will be getting rid of it.
