Hi John, I will be interested to see how the acrylic paint looks. If you scraped the old paint off, could you use the elephant wax instead, it might be an easier approach? Anyway stock up on the baked beans, it will be a long job!
The thing is the brass is smooth no key underneath the numbers but yes i am thinking the elephants wax approach but fancy having ago with these pens as it may be good for future painted dials, i like to try as many methods as i can you never know when it will come in handy, i don't think the original numbers are elephants wax its some kind of paint.
