This is my first time watching a women's flag football match and I've got to say im extremely impressed with Mexico. Flores is something special and they are well coached. I thought the USA would overpower with their physicality, but Mexico played smarter. Congrats Mexico!!! 👏🏽🥳

There's an interview in which they mentioned because of the sport not being popular they didn't receive support from the organization or sponsors, so they paid for themselves. It was all passion for the sport for them.

Believe it or not, flag football is bigger in Mexico than the U.S.
@@warnpeace1992 Especially with women, a lot more men play soccer than flag football but at least in my personal experience living in Mexico City for a few years seemed like there were many more women who played flag compared to soccer. Co-ed soccer leagues are so common in the states but pretty rare in Mexico, whereas I had a couple different friends who played on co-ed flag teams in Mexico.

UNAM, Äguilas Blancas y Cobras de IPN tienen sus equipos desde hace más de 30 años.
Ahorita vivo en Cancún y también tienen sus equipós (pero si son mucho más nuevos)

Was it just me or did anyone else know that Flag Football was this big? Seriously, though I like how fast paced the game is and that it is basically and NFL game without the 20 minutes of commercials. Also, for team USA man this is just another example of discipline and hard work will be talent and skill ever time.
Though I do predict four things will happen number one this will become a olympic sport and almost every country will have a team, number two you will start to see more boys and girls play flag football because parents will see it as the alternative to traditional football, number three your going to see this grow into like stadiums field of people watching this sport, trade deadlines, bigger pay for players, endorsements, etc. number four you will see some kid who will say I started from the flag now we here.

I agree! There are 70 countries right now that field a women's and men's flag football league. And because there is a much lower chance of injury and even less chance of severe injury, much cheaper to start a league and much easier to play pick up flag on any street in South America, North America, Japan, Europe, Africa and Asia and Australia, it will exponentially grow into a worldwide sport like soccer.
